As the maddox rod is placed in front of the left eye and the left eye is having exophoria (divergent and crossed diplopia) so the vertical line seen by the left eye will be placed right and the point source seen by the right eye will be placed to left horizontally in a same plane

@@mansigupta1818 means it only depends on exo or eso and where rod is placed not on side of eye having squint As mam placed in the different eye orientation changed

Circular spot on the right as the patient will be fixing with the right and Maddox rod will act as a cover manifesting left exophoria

When Maddox rod is placed horizontally on left eye the patient sees Rt. Eye : Vertical red line Lt. Eye: Point of light

Left exophoria means exophoria of left eye.. so how does keeping in front of right eye show separate line and dot?

Left circular or spot and right streak

Mam it will be vertical red line with bright spot left to it

What about hyperphoria and hypotrophia?

How will I know which eye is affected?
