The numbers are 80% not changing their minds no matter what (Spiro Agnew commanded similar numbers despite his conviction for corruption). It might be an overwhelming majority, but if one out of 5 Republicans, or even more generously, one out of 10 sat out the election in November, the GOP will lose a TON of seats. This is because the Republican Party has been banking on winning close elections by suppressing the vote everywhere, they've been taking for granted the ironclad loyalty of their voters.
