It depends on the type of throw and the QB. Guys with more throwing power require less lead IMO. LT on Xbox

You may be able to remedy that offensive push off by going to the penalty sliders and turn up the offensive catch interference

Whenever I press X it seems majority of the time nothing happens Do your receiver need to have that possessive catch trait on yes to catch them or can ANY RECEIVER make those catches

When I tried it in practice mode I see what you saying but it seems to be difficult to control the receiver before the ball gets there so you can do the possession catch. I’m trying to control the recover first and then try it but sometimes it don’t work for me

You playing with the best team you get a certain amount of momentum that comes with that especially when you playing a lesser team. What are the buttons on PS4 for possession catch, aggressive catch and RAC?

My problem is dropped balls, sometimes I have someone open, Nd I get touched or bumped and the ball comes flying out to get INT even though it was a good read and hit a perfect throw in a good window.

Trying not holding the catch button so early. Timing helps when finishing catches

I understand the animations but are you throwing regular passes or high passes. every time i try to possession catch off a high pass it sails smooth out of bounds lol

Kinda depends on your positioning... But yes holding the A button X ps4 will make you go down almost immediately.

Steven Dobson Lokey cause in a online franchise I have a DB with acrobat and the ability to disrupt catches in man and zone so I can break up those passes and if I come in contact with them it’s like a 30% chance that players still gonna catch the ball

Who's your QB... And sometimes EVEN on crossers and drags you have to lead the ball back towards the receiver and not so much bullet pass... Brady is horrible at leading but great at putting the ball right on the reciever...

All good bro, when you 1st start out with it it can be difficult timing wise. Make sure you arent just holding the catch button. Position your reciever 1st then hit hold A as the ball begins to arrive.

Has a lot to do with the throw. If the throw is good the repositioning is easy.

I consider myself a click on master on defense honestly and I do tend to use the L2 to semi always square up to attack the ball is that something I should be using on those low touch pass deep or back shoulder catches I’ve been labbing it’s easy with the julios and Evans but I’ve been trying with Edelman for a few it’s real hard to get the right animation it seems like the cpu reacts more than my receiver

Spec catch is more for those difficult to get to type balls, Catch in traffic is the ability to make contested catches

Create the contact by going into the body of the DB before tapping or holding the catch button. The better you time it the better the animation

For me I use it purely in jumpball situations where i might be badly out of position. I use it mainly to prevent picks honestly. Most end in drops for me.

All depends on the ball vs defender positioning at the time of the throw. Ive been doing this for months and still throw waay too many picks. Once you get consistent with the mechanics it will become muscle memory and you will kinda just know what throw to make in what situation. Its alot of manual control so you're gonna mess up sometimes. On the deepball streaks against cover 3 shell if the defender is on top im throwing outside directly to the sideline of the reciever Im throwing to. Once I click on Im gonna swerve outside then back towards the Defender. Once i start hitting the A he is gonna do a slight push off type animation if the timing is good. Its like using his upfield momentum against him. Back shoulder fade grab you saw in the video... Im doing another video that will talk about Routes & Throws tonight. Will explain exactly how to throw certain routes vs Cover 2 & 3...

CoachDC 404 shit i just now learned that as long as you control your receiver you don’t even have to press any button, you can just run towards the spot where the pass is going and they do the catch animation automatically

Its basically adapting to the new mechanics or the game. The faster you switch to the receiver the more control you have while the ball is in flight.
