Always appreciated Farls My personnel preferences on D kind of dictate what formations and play calls I use. My formations are dictated by the personnel the offense is using. 11 Personnel, 12 Personnel, 21 personnel, 22 personnel. 11 & 21 I'd want to use my base defense (4-3). Any 3 Receiver set, I'd want to use Nickel. 3 Receiver Set that's a passing down or 3rd and Long, I'd use Dollar. 4 Receiver Set, I'd use Dime. Heavy Package (3TE, 1RB), I'd use 46 or 5-2. 3rd and really long or End of Game, I'd use Quarters. Basically what the personnel is on the field and Down & Distance dictates my Formation. On another note I use these rules when playcalling. If my opponent is attacking between the numbers, I'd call Cover 3. If my opponent is attacking me outside the numbers I'd call Cover 2. If my opponent is attacking me vertically, I'd call Cover 4. If my opponent is attacking me short, I'd call Cover 1 or Cover 0. Cover 6 is a hybrid of Cover 2 & Cover 4. Im having trouble with my defense responding and reacting like the CPU... in zone coverage my guys don't dive/jump to swat ball, we miss wide open interceptions, man coverage always getting beat on routes, inside/outside shade works sometimes and press never works... any suggestions to remedy these issues?

So on the dagger play what zone will play the deep in route? Thinking of the one with a crosser, deep in and vert on one side like the one out of gun trips te or similar

One thing Id like to know how to stop: They roll out with Vick, so I start spying an end and then sending him in with right thumb click.... If they get enough time they will throw the ball across their body to the other side of the field, the guy is usually wide open. thx

Great tips. So any down less than 10 yards with most coverages use hard flats? Long yardage use cloud or purples unless they are abusing the flats?

Pretty much a winning strategy about 80‰,id say go hard flats on 6 and less. Certainly 4. Clouds can make tackles on flat passes around that range.

Also when is good to base align as opposed to man align

Wasnt it in the old ps2 maddens to stop run plays you had to run cover 1s and cover zeros I mean for zones to not do their job and go after the running back kinda defies the logic
