Without looking at the title, at first I thought this was a cover of Comptine d'un Autre ete! I never realized before how well the two songs match up. Another bewitching cover of a beautiful song. I just love the flare you add to your covers. Hope you are well, and are able to keep busy! 💙

Beatrixbelle the chord sequence Yann Tiersen used is almost identical! It’s even in the same key! I’m well thanks and feel very lucky that I can at least continue making covers. Concerts and theater work all canceled of course .. but I’m rather enjoying staying home and putting love and energy into more cover song arrangements. Grateful. Hope you and your loved ones are safe and well too! ❤️

Beautiful arrangement, this particular song was a discovery in the last 6 months during lockdowns as the original Tears for Fears version wasn't my thing. I have purchased the sheet music and am enjoying playing it... so hauntingly beautiful.

My goodness! I've always admired your work and this piece stands to show how masterful you are. For me, Yann Tiersen's, Comptine d'un Autre Été is an all time favourite and I felt the chord progression with this rendition of Mad World almost blended the two - stunning! Given the Covid-19 global situation I found the lyrics from this song "Bright and early for their daily races, going nowhere, going nowhere..." very poignant. It resonated with me throughout; there are huge parts of world's population "going nowhere" as part of the Pandemic Lockdowns. This piece is hauntingly beautiful at this time. We're living in a Mad World right now. You keep raising the bar Paul and there is no limit to your talents! Thank you so much!
