Agreed. Too bad people are too sensitive and want everything to me PC that a show like this cant exist anymore without someone trying to make it out to be terrorist level bad and want ot canceled :( i get some jokes can be pretty offensive but again....it's a joke. I dont think anyone on the show is trying to push a narrative or be mean cuz that's how they actually feel. It's shame ppl nowadays lack common sense and understanding for jokes.

@@mizutsunebubbledragon3382 I don't think most average people actually want PC programming at all. Most people I know complain about the constant forced diversity on television, and want television to return to the days when you could actually make fun of things without fear of immediate reprisal. What has happened over the decades is a complete media takeover by the far left. Movies, TV, comic books, video games, sports, etc have been polluted by an ideology that wants total control over the attention of the masses. The funny (or sickening) thing is, once a piece of media decides to go "woke" it tends to fall flat on its face. The fringe people on the woke left who made all the noise about cancelling or censoring a certain project or personality probably never cared at all about it in the first place. Their concern is simply to spread their poison and shut down anything that doesn't conform to their ideology or vision. The term "get woke go broke" is not just a joke created by the right, it's a recognizable pattern that has been repeated over and over. If people really wanted sanitized, politically correct programming then this pattern wouldn't be a thing.

I always thought the cast on MAD were way funnier. I don’t want to delve into a SNL rant, but it was always too corporatized and sanitized for my tastes. It always got the most recognition due to who they had on the show, and some of that recognition is deserved no matter my personal views on it, but MAD didn’t get enough praise during the time it was on the air. They had no limits - every religion, all politics, every race, culture, celebrity, stereotype, kink, all ages … anything and everything was portrayed. Was a show that everyone could tune in to and know that the thing they’re watching is likely going to be offensive and crude, but it’s what you watched it for… they all got to go all out with their characters. I loved it.

One of the things that made MadTV so great was the fact that it could make fun of politics without being political. Didn't matter if the subjects of their ridicule were liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat, MadTV never took sides, they always took everyone down a notch and it was always hilarious. That's how good satire's done.

@@JuanMendoza-qd5lm and @Vincent Emma yep and because of that we hear "women are not funny". I can kind of understand where they are coming from but us humans have short term memories. We seem to forget all the women that made us laugh in our lives in the early 2000s. It's crazy....... I seen Debra Wilson lately in games and that zombie show z nation but the other women, I seen on and off from random tv shows or movies in the early 2000s. They played a small role, they are barely there but still. It's nice to see them again. I know one of them played Lois from family guy (if you already listed her name; sorry I'm not good at matching names with faces) I think that's the only role that she does. I can't remember seeing her on anything else. And since I always get madtv confused with SNL....(please don't bite my head off 🤣 Melissa Mccartney is my favorite.)
