43 myself and I remember when the whole Seattle grunge era was just getting started and so many didn't even know what grunge even was when it first went mainstream as its own genere of music. I mean Mother Love Bone, Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Temple Of The Dog, Mad Season, Curt Cobain, and Layne Staley were the small but great circle of musicians that started that era and genere of music in Seattle in the late 80's coming to surface in the beginning of the 90's and it caught on real quick. Them were definitely the good ol' days, and it was the turning point for music as we know it today. Though Scott Weiland/STP was from San Diego, I still consider them apart of that whole scene even though it started up in Seattle and STP started up in So•Cal they all came together as they got bigger! 🤘

There is so much win in this video. First, for anyone under the age of 40 to know about Mad Season is a huge win. Second, it takes a huge amount of confidence to tackle any track that has Layne Staley on vocals. Finally, the item falling off the shelf as he is singing, down..fall down was crazy. These boys absolutely crushed it! I love the vocals! Instead of trying to imitate Layne, he made it his own and made me feel the song. Great freaking job, guys! You absolutely killed it.

I think these guys are actually Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Weiland, Hendrix, Chris Cornell, Cliff Burton, Neil Peart, Shannon Hoon all reincarnated as these four brothers and looking to bring back grunge 25-30 years later. Been watching all their videos this past week. I graduated high school in 1995, and they covered all the songs perfectly that I used to listen to endlessly. I'm completely amazed how they hit every note exactly the way it's recorded in all the songs (River of Deceit, Nutshell, Patience, Sweet Child O' Mine, Down in Hole, Unforgiven, Enter Sandman, Shine, Bullet w/ Butterfly Wings, etc.) This is isn't something you get good at by practicing. Yes, practice makes perfect, but these guys are born and hardwired with musical brains. I can tell their brotherhood bond is what makes them play so well together - waking up and jamming all day playing on each other queues. Even some of their earlier videos when the bassist was still 6 or 7 years old playing Enter Sandman on the keyboard while the drummer was jamming away. The singer and lead guitarist are equally talented. I'm amazed that there are kids today who even find interest in music from a generation ago and cover it perfectly. While most kids today sit around all day watching and eating garbage or are either signed up in some youth competitive sports team by their parents, these guys love music and appear to jam and rock all day burning calories. I noted in previous comment - don't follow the same fate as the music legends covered in these songs, only follow their musical talent. I'm sure many will agree, but look out for each other in all your travel gigs. Your brotherhood bond is what makes you guys. Don't lose each other to drugs or any of that nonsense that plagues the rock industry. Keep up the talent fellas. Maybe I'll hear that you guys are touring the U.S one day.

Aaron Lewis of Staind n Shaun Morgan of Seether do a great job as well, I enjoy listening to different artists interpretations. The genre of music these young fellas have taken to is filled with amazing musicians, but vocally so challenging, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland n to a lesser extent Kurt Cobain and yet not a bad performance, as a matter of fact, most everyone has been stellar. My favorites are the street performances, while they all shine, the drummer stands out in those with savage percussions on a 5gal pickle bucket. Little bucket tilt here, but of the hand there n I’d think he was on a full kit. Truly hope whatever they envision as great success is what they achieve.

Damn, boys. This is one of my all-time favorite songs, and I went into this with a very critical ear at the idea of some youngbloods covering "my" music. I know you're getting a lot of us 40-somethings in the comments giving kudos, but catch this; I grew up in Seattle. I saw all of the Seattle greats in their prime -- Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, and lesser-known acts like Candlebox, Tad, 7 Year Bitch -- including Mad Season in their final show at the Moore. You guys are doing it right, and I respect and appreciate it. I'm glad these songs still mean something to folks of later generations.

Excellent cover gents, keep it up. I'll be 50 in October and was a huge fan of Mad Season, AiC, Soundgarden, MLB-the list goes on and on. Living in Seattle now, and during that time, this music carries with it a certain sense of belonging-that's home for me. Tomorrow is the 18th anniversary of Staley's passing, a talent taken away from us way too early and for way too selfish a cause. Our opioid epidemic predates the rest of the country's by about 20 years so unfortunately this struggle is nothing new to us-neither are it's destructive capabilities. Rest is peace Layne, I hope you've been able to compose a sense of solace wherever you've gone to.

Went pro in my 20's retired in my 30's, but still play and record for the fun of it. I LOVE music. And nothing more shows the true power of music than a group of people with the same interest of style in mind and create music as a whole. Nothing can replace that. End of 80's thru 90's is modern day musics "sweet spot" as far as I'm concerned . And I listen to everything from Otis toTHC .Great job boys......the music world just may be waiting to hear your story.............

@@vincevanderperre6484 I get your point but, but some people just won't get past being 'fan boys'. It's the way it is. You're not gonna change that by telling them they're too much. Take it easy. I agree with you, and if you think you can change their perspective, i reckon you could take a more constructive and positive approach. It can sound condescending. Just to straight out tell people they're wrong. Post links to crazy creative guitarists. Maybe they've not been exposed to much other stuff. I definitely get the point. I've watched this borderline trolling and real trolling for years, but this is the first comment I've ever written on YT cos I'm getting sick of people being negative and not helpful or nice.
