I saw the movie in IMAX when it first came out. To this day, it was one of the most awesome movie experiences I ever saw! *Witnesses me!*
Legit one of the best movies that has come out in the 25 years.
Witness one of the greatest Mad Max films of all time!
One of my favourite movies of all time honestly, went 6 times to see it in the cinema and didn't even know any of the Mad Max franchise before this. An absolute visual spectacle, it has everything from well-executed explorations of agency and bodily autonomy to a guy in red PJs shredding a flamethrower guitar, a stellar soundtrack, a shitton of practical effect, memes ('WITNESS ME!!' and 'Mediocre' in the way Immortan Joe says it has entered and not left my vocabulary since...), on-set drama, it really is the package deal of movies. I have not seen Furiosa yet but if it's anything like this I'm probably gonna see that 6 times too...
What a day, what a lovely day
this movie is a masterpiece
One of my fav movies ever!
Love This Movie
You should've watch Furiosa first in theatre and come back to react this movie. That would've been a more great experience cause learning from 2 hour 28 minute backstory to where it leads to this Fury Road will be a crazy hours of experience. Maybe I guess Furiosa is not playing there yet where you're at lol.
This movie was simply epic! George Miller actually started working on this as early as 1998, with Mel Gibson still in mind, but the road to getting it made was full of delays and then nightmarish problems left and right. Ultimately, filming was supposed to start in 2010, the same year Tom Hardy was cast, but didn't end up starting till 2012; one reason was the desert they were going to film in suddenly got hit with heavy rainfall and then became too green with life, so they had to shift locations entirely. Most of the vehicles had been built and sat waiting for years, some photos of them being seen early if I remember correctly. And Tom Hardy would constantly get heated with Charlize Theron and Miller, the two stars especially walking away sour from the experience. But upon seeing the final product each on their own and the masterful orchestration of it all, they cooled on all of that set everything okay. The filming conditions weren't exactly a walk in the park at the very least for anyone, but Hardy and Theron's two starkly different methods of working also helped create the tense dynamic between the characters that ended up on screen.
What a lovely day!!
