For some reason, this is my favorite song from her as well, even though she had so many popular hits. I guess I love the 80s movie background and the fight from Mel Gibson's character and it gives me such nostalgia. I kind of take this song as an anthem in some ways. Anyhow, Tina Turner was a one a kind voice and will never be replicated.

This song has recently been on loop in my car, my kids wonder why I like it so much. They’re too young to watch this great movie, but one day I’ll sit them down with some popcorn and we’ll enjoy together. There’s something about Tina’s voice and the 80’s Synth effects that make it so very timeless. RIP Tina, you were simply the best at what you gave to us all.

"We Don't Need Another Hero" is a song by Tina Turner, featured in the 1985 film "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome." The song was written by Graham Lyle and Terry Britten, and produced by John Hudson. It was released as a single in 1985 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. The song earned Turner a Golden Globe award for Best Original Song. The song's lyrics express the idea that people do not need a hero to solve their problems, and that they have the strength and power to do so themselves

Music today is pure "trash" that is why we come here to get a breath of fresh air. These oldies but goodies is like a "time machine" which transports our minds & hearts back to an era when the world wasn't in such shambles and our loved ones, who have now past on, were still around vibing to this type of music. It's so nostalgic.

With "Beyond the Thunderdome" the MadMax series finally became pop culture and Mel Gibson a superstar! Accompanied by Tina Turner's bombastic soundtrack and a humorous story, the third part of the series stood out from the more brutal predecessors in a pleasant way that was suitable for the masses.
