It's because of the TV market - Chicago is the 3rd biggest and a charter franchise in the NFL.. no matter how bad they are they will always get a few primetime games every year.

This is probably the best First Take has been im terms of casting members. Unc, swagu, KMART, SAS, Mad Dog, par mcafee, jeff saturday, Dan O, Rex. I love it!!

Here is the reason the Bears are in primetime. Chicago is one of the largest TV markets in the country. The Bears have a fanatically devoted fan base that will watch the team no matter how bad they are. This means that the Bears might draw a higher TV audience than a good team from a smaller market. Remember ratings equals money.

It’s better to get better teams televised, that way more people nationally are going to watch. Even having a devoted fan base is not going outdue two quality prime time opponents playing.
