The iPhone mirroring if this comes to an iPad this will change the demand for iPad mini
The window snapping is meant to emulate a tiling window manager like what is often used on Linux. Many people (myself included) like the aesthetic of the gap between windows, but you can actually turn that off in the settings.

The calculator app always had Scientific and Programmer modes, acessed via menu. Even conversions isn’t new. The novelty is math notes alone.
This is a really good video. Clean. I'm saving this for when it's fully released as a refresher of the OS. Thank you for this :)
In the snapping windows component, you can go into settings and under the "Window" section of "Desktop & Dock" tab you can uncheck the option that says "Tile windows with margins" and you will have no margins. Hope this helps :)
It will be interesting to see how the iPhone mirroring will connect, over wifi, bluetooth or both, especially if your in a coffee shop etc?
I've used these other calculator functions for so many years I couldn't remember when they didn't exist so I had to look it up. Scientific and Programmer modes have been in every Mac OS since Jaguar 10.2 and Conversions since Tiger 10.4, but just located in the menubar. I much prefer the look of the old calculator from 12+ years ago and it still runs on Sonoma.
Really well informed content and excellent presentation skills makes this an invaluable asset. Liked, subscribed and signed up to the weekly newsletter. Congratulations young man !

I see that many viewers are leaving hints and work arounds for issues that have come up for you. If you have access to the developer beta, then you can send comments about what you like or don’t like about certain apps or situations directly to Apple. You obviously have a lot of ideas to improve the various apps. Please be sure to send them along.
Thanks for another great video ... the new feature I find most interesting is iPhone Mirroring ... as shown in the video (2:12) I think it's clever that the iPhone can be on the MagSafe charger in landscape orientation, and the preview you see on the Mac is totally different, in portrait orientation =)
Great job 👏 Best videos about apple ecosystem 🖤

The Window management gives me Hyprland vibes with the gap between and I love it
Only issues I’ve had with macOS 15 has been a couple of apps, Sound Source and HMSSHD. So I was then able test my Time Machine backup and Migration assistant to go back to Sonoma instead. Sensational. MacBook Air and Mac Mini are running fine.
A nice overview of the upcoming additions, that phone integration looks very good Will the password app be automatically installed in an update or will we have to manually get it from the store
Firstly, thanks for the content. Great to watch and presented very well. Secondly, the Beta I’m using (on an M1 Pro) is also buggy. Only had a small play with it, but had a couple of freezes when testing the window snapping feature.
You can disable the margins between the tiles/windows. You can find it in the settings app.
Love it
What about the Mail app on Sequoia? Did it get the categorisation feature like iOS18?
On screen snapping I believe there is a setting to fill in the gaps between apps. For apps partially covering each other I'm not sure if that will help. I found out about the setting from a Brandon Butch video. The setting is under "Desktop & Dock" and the setting is "Tiled windows have margins"
How about performance improvement? Did you see any improvement when you compare with Sonoma?
Finally a window snapping feature.
Looking forward to the iPhone mirroring - heard about it a few months ago and keen to use it. The calculator has had scientific/programming/conversion modes for ages - just accessible from the menu (even the iPhone has the scientific calculator when you turn it in its side) - but I get why someone might not have noticed it unless you’d gone looking for it. Great video though.
Please speak about changes to Photo.
Does the notes recording/transcription work for online meetings? Say, if I'm attending a class online and I start to take notes using the notes app, will it record the instructor speaking remotely so that my notes are synced with the instruction?
Did they do any other work to the calendar app? I always find it clumsy to set up a calendar event for a flight ✈️ that starts in one time zone and lands in another time zone. i want to be able to emulate my itinerary which always shows the local time as per the location of the airport
What laptop stand are you using?
Would mirroring also work with old imacs as i have a 2011 imac that still works and a 2017 imac but i cant seem to get the old one to be used as an extention screen. ??
Is there a way to preview an open file in the dock by letting hover the cursor above it, similar to windows?
How much do Calendar and Reminders integrate with Notes also?
I use Moom; I guess I'd have to turn it off to see the built in mac screen snap on hover? Would love to see some improvements in Voice Memos app; there is not even a return to beginning button. And why not bring back the music demos app they used to have for songwriters. Or add a simple drum beat button to voice memos.
The margins with window tiling are a setting, you can change that. It's on by default.
I am absolutely thrilled that I paid extra for 24 GB on my last Mac. Another channel reported that the AI module takes 4.7 GB on macOS.
MathNotes is probably the feature I’m going to get most mileage from TBH. I dont think I’ll be moving from rectangle for window management but I guess time will tell. Passwords is good to see as I had recently started to consider a 3rd party app but just couldnt bring myself to place my trust in a 3rd party with something so critical.
I’m using Developing Beta but this is the best one I ever experienced

You can already make and answer calls from your Mac, using your iPhone. I used it earlier today, it’s a great feature.
tiling border gap is actually a common feature along tilting window managers, and you can cancel that in the setting as I've seen in other videos.
I am using the Mac OS Beta 15 Sequoia on my 2021 Macbook Pro 16 M1 and its pretty good so far. I did have to uninstall the Beta 18 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max because the battery time was horrible and it heated up so bad, I couldn't take it. It had way to many bugs. I downgraded back to 17.5.1 and everything went back to normal. I will wait for the public beta of IOS 18 to be released before I go back. I am not upgrading my iPad at this time until the bugs get worked out. Love Sequoia though so far. No problems or bugs at this time..

1:40 along with iPhone on Mac i want it on my iPod pro also.
Apple appears to have forgotten to digitally sign the iPhone Mirroring App so I'm hoping that gets sorted and signed quickly so I can try it out.
Safari Highlights does not work in the India region too currently
Will there be any improvements to window management? That's what Mac OS needs, not screen snapping features that other third party applications already do. I'm currently using BTT to navigate around Apple's mess. First I ran a terminal command to disable the junk that displays on hovering over the Green button. Left clicking Green button maximizes the window without going into full screen mode. Right clicking the Green or Yellow buttons resizes windows to about 33%, and centers them roughly in the middle of the screen, although using differing methods because Apple's UI is wildly inconsistent. Right clicking the Red button terminates the application. Apple, fix your UI.
I'm really looking forward to iPhone mirroring. I hope I'll be able to use my MacBook and keyboard to text with android phones.
Does anyone know yet whether the new Sequoia OS has solved the poster/tile printing problem that Sonoma has? So many creative people like Apple but suddenly, with Sonoma, we couldn’t tile print patterns, templates, etc. It was the main function I wanted when I bought my MacBook Air last November but sadly it was not to be.
The only issue I find is Spotlight keeps auto starting Thunderbird, even if I turn the Open at Login Off, it always turns it back on. A pain! Otherwise, no other issues ... yet. The word Beta is pronounced 'Beeta' not baita!
The issue with safari highlights will be that Apple will be forced to allow users to change the default linking apps to Spotify or Google Maps due to anti-trust laws - they might get a few years out of it. Overall I think the iPhone link is a good idea, does the password app operator the authentication keys (6 numbers changing every 30 seconds)? I always need to grab the iPhone for these.
can't get highlihgts to work either, even tried websites ive seen other creators show off
• The password app will be kind of lame until one can use it with third-party apps. Back in the day, e.g. Chrome or Firefox could access passwords in the Keychain Access app. On Windows will the password app only be compatible with a Windows installation of Safari? And why not integrate Keychain Access and a password manager? I really hate the fragmentation they've created ever since they started putting password management in Safari and also in the Settings app. Currently passwords can be managed from three different locations. • Will there be keyboard shortcuts for the window snapping? • I really wish that they would provide an RPN option in the calculator app. The upcoming calculator app will still be a bit rubbish.
re: your dislike of the gap being left between windows when using tiling, go in to System Settings -> Desktop & Dock, and scroll down to the Windows section and untoggle the setting "Tiled windows have margins"
Tiled Windows have margin, it’s in the settings.

The Sequoia beta for Mac seems to be extremely buggy for me. I can’t even get my dock to move to my extended display in the beta. IOS 18 is not as buggy. If you haven’t tried Mac beta yet, I suggest holding off until at least beta 2 or 3.

Great review. However, MacOS Sequoia Beta is actually an Alpha. Alpha releases are typically unstable, buggy, and may not have all the features or functionality intended for the final product. so not being able to test core features in a Beta makes no sense. The current Beta seems rushed as Apple has been slipping very far behind on innovation..
Uh, oh! My iMac is pre-2019. What happens now, when I can no longer update!
I don't think Gaming on Mac will reach PC level anytime soon given Macs aren't upgradable and at base level (which most people use including myself - M2 Air) the specs in terms of storage and RAM are quite low so not ideal to run AAA games. Apple needs to address this else Mac gaming won't be better
The passwords app is just replacing “keychain access” 😅

For me (and probably for many other users), Apple AI changes nothing. First of all - I live in Poland, there is no Siri in Polish and there will be no AI in Polish, so these functions will be mostly useless. Secondly - I have IP 12 and MP with Intel, so it will not work on this equipment either. And no - I will not buy a new IP and MP just to have these new functions, I would have to fall on my head to do it

Biometric authentication: “hello?” Bitwarden client is also on the phone. How is that different? If anything, apple’s password is more secure because every step requires faceid authentication.
