Best Island in the world. I've been to many in the tropics; but in the summer, nothing compares to Mackinac.

Summer 2019 was my first time going to Mackinac Island and believe me it was absolutely amazing.

I'm 54 and have been there many times since I was a kid, I've seen a lot of changes to the island, as tourists we flock to these beautiful destinations like mackinac and niagra falls and eventually the overcrowding of people and building ruins the peaceful and natural beauty of the destination. Just saying.... I'm guilty of it too!!!😊 But you can still find some nice rustic area's off the beaten path. Love the drone video's!!!

Wow I really love this video, very well done. On a side note, the 3:12 point of the video is an example of what not to do. Don't stop in the middle of the road like that, pull off to the side.

It is posted by sign to pull off the road when stopping. The island gets very busy, no cars but they do have bike crashes.

Mayor is misguided on seeing a drone as a threat. Drones provide the most amazing views of the island, capturing its majestic beauty that cannot be seen from ground level. An aerial view allows your usual tourists to share these amazing views with their loved ones, without bringing in the more intrusive helicopter Tours. I say embrace the beauty Mackinac has to offer.

Yeah my brother brought his drone up there for my other brother's wedding at Mission Point, mid-August of last year (2018) and was a bit bummed to have the airport NFZ restrictions in place. I got lots of great video footage at ground level at least but sadly nothing that the grandeur of a drone aerial would provide.

never have been there in the winter... Its gotta be cold though :) I just release a CHicago drone video that I captured after first winter storm... Its not fun to fly the drone when there is 15F outside :)

Being Michiganians we all loved them both... especially the music! But several months after posting it, your Sleeping Bear Dunes video was removed. About 9-10 months ago I contacted you about it being missing and asked if you could re-upload it again. You were kind enough to respond and said you still had it, but would be uploading it again sometime this fall. No. it was around 80F during this day... Water might be a little bit chilly but that place is worth to visit anyway. Thanks for watching...

Hi. Thanks for watching... I did use the stroller only on farry... Than We left it by the bike rental... Its totally safe... And we stayed at one of the hotels on the mainland in Mackinac City... That video from Sleeping Bear dunes and S. Manitou Island is recorded during the same weekend trip. Check this out and stay tuned with us for a little longer

Meranda, the lighthouse in the video is automated and not much to see. On the mainland in Mackinac City there is an older Lighthouse you can tour. It's located at the park they were at 0:09 to 0:13. You can even catch a glimpse of the lighthouse behind the trees at 0:13. The Keepers house is attached and is a museum now. State senate passed a bill stating drones are banned on the island. FAA part 107 certified operators conducting a verified commercial operation are exempt from the ban and do not require a permit. There are no permits for hobbyist or certified operators flying for pleasure as it is banned.

The dance floor in front of the hotel is gone.

Drones are illegal on Mackinac island, mayor of Mackinac island is helping to protect her relatives business large tour company. She does not want her relatives horses to runaway like look up Mackinac Island runaway on KZread.

Last I heard, there was a six month moratorium...they had decided to allow them (by permit), then there was some squabbling over the permit procedure, so they decided on the six month moratorium to figure things out.

The ordinance was in July 2016 but like I told police unless mayors relatives start getting tickets for illegally using unlicensed carriage all over the island, your not going to arrest me for using drone. I have two on island very small which I took video about 20 feet off ground level right down town will be posting later
