These are great speakers to start off with and even keep as a reliable backup. I know people clown on Mackies but not all of us can afford $1000 a piece for 1 powered speaker. I’ll take 2 Mackies for $700 any day👍🏽 good review.

Not bad for just beginning. 3 additions that will help you immediately. 1. Mixer I recommend at least a 8 channel. Do not got into 4 or 6 channels. You will eventually need more channels for more mics. I learned this the hard way. Spend once spend wisely. I would say the Mackie profx3 10 Channel. It's about a $200 investment. There is usually a rebate. Drops it down to about $150. This well help your setup tremendously. 2) Get a second speaker. Your first won't have to work so hard. 3) Rockville Speaker stands. Hydraulic assist. A pair is about $150. Will also support speakers nicely. I have a pair of SRM Speakers. They lift them like nothing.

I have a Peavey Mic and Peavey PV12A Audio mixer and also a Numark NVii DJ Controller. 2 Rockville tripod stands and i did used to have 2 800 watt Rockville 15's for awhile before i upgraded tothe QSC's. They did sound pretty frickin good too. I still have the 2 QSC K10. K2 2,000 watt speakers. Bass Amp i think is the best setting for strong treble and mids and bass. I don't like the other settings but i have tested them. The Bass Amp setting and the Studio Monitor settings i like da most.
