Cheers mate! The Rankins were caught in about 15-18m, they're nitwits for jigs and smash em hard. Have a great trip!

I’m going up there in a few weeks and was wondering if 30lbs braid would be strong enough

Hi Erica, in most cases I think 30lb would be plenty strong for jigging the bottom and for pelagics. A second outfit, with say 50lb, would be handy if there's some bigger fish around. Have a great trip!
