No cv no subs is optimal condition for all other ships.

Sounds a lot like WoT where some tanks do really well when there isn't arty or wheeled vehicles. Its interesting how WoWs has managed to devolve the same way WoT did despite having different people in charge.

I'm definitely not the most skilled player, but that huange player and new mexico dropping depth charges as if they are the Dutch airstrikes sure does make me feel more confident

People have been using them to find the position of concealed ships to see if AA is triggered. Not everyone is dropping depth charges because they "think they do damage to surface ships".

To be honest, I sometimes drop them just to give the enemy some AA damage and thus some experience, it doesn't hurt me or them lol

Before the CV Rework? Getting alpha-strike-nuked by Tier VII Kaga with 12 torpedo bombers and some dive bombers hanging back after you burn your DCP? So many torpedoes in the water at one time that even Destroyer players struggled against the web of Kaga torpedoes? OP Tier VII Saipan? OP Tier VIII Enterprise and Graf Zeppelin? Double cross dropped by VII Hiryu, VIII Shokaku? Old USN TB squads dropping 6 torpedoes in a tight pattern? Old Tier VIII Enterprise having 2 TB squads with 6 planes each, coupled with 2 Dive Bomber squads? Hell, even the old Tier V CVs, Zuiho and Bogue were no slouches. All these a Tier VI ship could encounter in the RTS CV days.

@@Warmaker01 yea, old cvs were op too, but 95% of players sucked in them. Now every player can drain your joy under any circumstance with the foolproof shit we got.

I hope WG is not going to nerf the line before I unlock these fun ships: got the Von Der tann and the Moltke and enjoying them (love low tier games more than high tiers)

Ever since Flamu got engaged, he sadly has been suffering from repeated fits of delusion.😥 This mainly manifests in considering German battlecruisers fun and repeatedly saying as much. It is a serious affliction that hopefully will go away soon. But until then, we must unite in protecting Flolo from himself. Because we care about streamer guy. 😔

Suicide rushing is 100% because a lot of these players only do CO-OP except the rare occasion they play ranked. In CO-OP they are taught that cruisers are just bigger torpedo DDs and everyone zerg rushes the enemy to get the most damage before the bots all die. I've seen it a million times where that mentality is so ingrained now that it bleeds over into randoms and ranked...those same players then wonder why they have "toxic" teammates.

I’m a bit excited for the British BCs, they’re inevitable at this point. I wonder what they’ll be like. Maybe they’ll be like a line of fragile, fast warspites.

They will probably follow the same concept as they did in rl, just like the German BCs did with their line Very fast BBs, with good gunpower, and prob torps from T6 or 7, but very bad survivability.

My absolute favorit among the German battleships, simply love it. Always performing and taking well earned merites.

Great vid Flamu, Mackensen looks great.

It should be comparable with the other premium Mackensen Class Battlecruiser that is in the game for years now, but it turn out that the stats of that one are worse. So the tech-tree version is better than the premium..... I'm glad I did the missions to get it and didn't pay any money for it.

I’m glad that these ships are working out quite well I am slowly getting them and so far so good Hope they stay like this

It took me a minute or two, for this one to click. I knew this ship is familiar, basicly a nameship of class that Eitel Friedrich comes from. Garbage here, but I had some fun with it in Blitz version.

The FUNdamental ship to have

These new German Battlecruisers' guns generally behave decently despite their bad Sigma. The Battlecruiser accuracy makes them viable despite the awful Sigma. Playing the 8-gun ships of this split is a better experience than playing prior, traditional 8-gun BBs despite some of them having 2.0 Sigma.

These are Battlecruisers, they were design to hunt and destroy CA, so I played them like that, engage CAs and DDs, run away from BBs with your superior speed... I do hope WG give us a british line of BCs, I can just see a techtree of very, very fast glass cannons...

I think Mackensen is a strong ship. I unlocked her myself yesterday. Guns are quite consistent and perform well, good secondaries, German hydro, good speed, good concealment and decent armor. However, bad AA, bad shells, and no TB, balances the ship Also I am pretty sure New Mexico has a citadel, that is completely underwater, so nothing can cit it

The fact that PEF is the same class but has a worse icebreaker because it’s smaller and underwater

Technically they have the same dispersion as other T8-9 BBs. That said, if not for the fact that the BCs are going ham on secondaries, I'd say that could be remedied with a blanket overhaul of German secondaries so that all of them perform very well. I'm hoping as much for the Preussen, at least. GK with 457s and monster secondaries? Yes please. Something to make up for the huge easily farmed superstructure.

Prinz Eitel Friedrich and Mackensen are both large cruisers of the Mackensen class so it is only logical that both share the same main guns.

Wait there is no hull upgrade for it, they make you run a WW1 hull at tier 6? the Bayern gets an hull upgrade that strips some 150mm castmate guns for the 105mm AA guns.

Only the Moltke has a Hull-upgrade from the TIII - TVI BCs, and that one adds like....6 7.92mm MGs. So they all have basically non-existent AA till TVII So compared to the PEF, the Mackensen actually has worse secondaries, since both have 14x150mm, but the PEF has 4x double-barrel 105s, while the Mackensen only has 4x single-barrel WW1 88mm guns. The Mackensens D-turret can turn 360° though, which the PEFs cant.

T8+ have the 150mm secondaries fro GZ, and overall this line has GZ dispersion. Yeah....

Would have been nice to have... I don't know... a Cruiser to hunt down that last DD huh?

i always wonder why bb's and cruisers launch sea planes that drop depth charges against surface warships, do people think they have air strike ?

If your chasing a ship that has it's AA active, you can tell where it is going by looking out for the tracers. Other than that players either drop them for the memes or out of boredom.

@@sharilken Some people think they got Air Strikes. But good players send them too to "spot". Ships wont get spotted... but AA still shoots. So if you see shots going to the planes -> Enemy with activated flak = becareful . With this tactic I was able to hunt a DD KEKW

Flamu, this is Tier 6. Even though it's called ranked, most players are just going to start playing it as soon as they can, aka a lot players are still learning to play the game.

battlecruiser dispersion means the overall dispersion ellipse is smaller than on a battleship, but the tradeoff is that it has lower sigma so the distribution of shots within that smaller ellipse will be less centred than on e.g. Bayern and PEF

The same boneheads exist on the NA servers as well.

Why do so many CC's not use freelook, and instead just let their turrets waste time going back and forth if you already know what your target is?

Wow Flamu's team was absolutely worthless. It seemed like the whole game he was always fighting at least two ships at the same time by himself.

I personally will not be putting money on subs going anywhere, colour me a cynic but I think WeeGee will be forcing them through no matter what.
