Mack MR - McNeilus Pacific Series Front Load Garbage Truck

I know it's a short video, but this truck was rather elusive! Here we have a McNeilus Pacific Series front load body on a Mack MR cab and chassis, slamming back some dumpsters around town! I rarely get the opportunity to film commercial front loaders, as the routes tend to be a lot harder to track down than residential routes, so I was very excited to be able to catch this truck in action! I hope you guys enjoy this brief footage, too!
I'd like to extend a big thanks to the driver of this truck for providing our community with excellent service!

I miss my Mack MR so, so much. No other truck I've driven since has held a candle to it. Badass old workhorse.

Built em’ the same from ‘78 to ‘07. Real example of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
Love the first clip; a nice peaceful setting with ducks in the pond and then enter the Mack!!!

Those garbage semis with the forks are awesome.
That first clip almost seems animated with how good it looks. Truck really seems like it needs a tag haha. Really enjoyed this one, there wasn't a single clip I didn't think had amazing composition. Really nice job.
Nice shots! The truck sounded really good. This truck was in the Woodinville yard for a while.

In my opinion, Mcneilus' Pacific is better than their Atlantic. I don't know it just looks nicer. Great catch!

Hell yeah! The Pacific seems sturdier than their Atlantic! It also has a better weight ratio.

Nice catch! Any idea where this truck came from before Kennewick? SoCal had some of these running except with a tag. Kinda looks like a tag could fit on this truck actually lol Great angle at 1:23! Awesome sounding truck, I love how the driver revs the arm all the way from start to finish.

+WMmaster626 I'm not entirely sure, I'm told it may have spent some time up at the Woodinville yard. I know it's been down here for probably 3 or 4 years now. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, this was a fun truck to watch!

Former Sun Valley truck from down here. Pretty cool to see that it ended up all the way out by you haha! They cut the tag off somewhere along the line oddly enough

Yessir, it's definitely still in service! As far as I know, it handles light commercial and apartment garbage on Monday's and Friday's, and commercial recycling Tuesday thru Thursday. Definitely hoping to follow this footage up with a longer video sometime!

Bryn , like I always say when i'm filming something is better than nothing, Also is that Kennewick's only front loader , or is the WhiteGmc Heil still there ? Nice vid also , been waiting for the video ever since i saw the first photo of this truck .

+Nicholas sordillo Oh no, this is one of several front loaders running around here. There's this one, 4 or 5 Condor/McNeilus's, and there is still one WhiteGMC Heil FL, though it seems to run a rural route about an hour west of town, so I don't know if I'll ever be able to catch it in action, unfortunately.

Depends on the yardage you're doing.. most of these trucks the mechanics take the pressure and lower it so you don't hurt the piston.. so if you can get anywhere from 10 to 12 ton on that's good.. if you have anywhere from 60 stops and up you'll be dumping twice you can probably put on 50 stops with an assortment of two yarders 10 ydrs .. eight ydrs..6 ydrs..4 ydrs and two ydrs on one load

I'd actually see that Mack MRU McNeilus front loader garbage truck from waste Management in Carver Hall apartment I can only see It on Monday most of the time it's the Peterbilt 520 McNeilus front loader garbage truck with the Cummins ISX12 engine and Autocar Xpeditor McNeilus front loader garbage truck that has the same engine as the Peterbilt 520 model

That's a Mack MR. The MR trucks have rectangular headlights. Same deal with the MR's low entry brother, the mack LE The Mack terrapro MRU has the same cab design as the MR, but the headlights are more circular. You can also find the same thing on the Mack Terrapro LEU. Again, same cab design, but different headlight shape

Its so if the forks or arms fail while lifting the can, it doesn't crush the cab

It's a shield that will protect you from any trash or objects falling on the cab and it always gets banged up

That's not an Atlantic series, look at the cab shield, it's different than the Atlantic series
