    Thanks Maria 🙌 At the time, Peru had the most stringent mask wearing policies we had experienced. Anytime we were on public transportation, we were required to wear two masks and a face shield. But it was the price to travel and we were just so grateful to explore Peru 🇵🇪💛 Thanks for watching and for leaving us a comment 😀

    Hey guys! We found you two when we are planning for Machu Picchu next month. So glad I did, you guys reminded me early Kara and Nate (more natural) thank you for sharing this, just subscribed you guys! Keep up all the great work! Oh by the way, question about Peru-rail, do we still need to book a bus or taxi to the Cusco station to take the Peru-rail to Caliante? Or the Cusco poroy station is easy access in Cusco? Sorry I don’t understand why everyone else takes a bus then to a train when there is already a train leaving from Cusco to Machu Picchu caliente. Thank you!!!

    Wow, Boya, I don't know if we can express how much this comment made our day, but seriously thank you 🙌 Kara and Nate are a huge inspiration to us so any comparison to them is a huge compliment to us 😀 To answer your question, there are two stations in Cusco, San Pedro and Poroy. San Pedro is in the heart of Cusco, whereas Poroy is on the outskirts of Cusco which is why people take a bus or taxi first to get there. It all depends on ticket availability. We stayed at Amaru Inca Inn, and then walked to San Pedro Station (Cusco) in the morning and took it all the way to Machu Picchu Caliente. On our return, however, we could only get tickets to the Poroy (Cusco) station and had to take a taxi back into Cusco to get to our hotel. I hope that helps clarify, but let us know if you have any other questions. You are going to love Machu Picchu, it was such an amazing experience. And thank you for subscribing, it means a ton to us 🥳

    I went to Machu Picchu 2 weeks ago. If you decide to go again i recommend that you travel to Puno which is at 4,300 metres for minimum of 4 days then travel to cusco then Machu Picchu. Which is at 2,900 metres

    In Peru, are there any travel-related measures during COVID-19 or are there any documents required to enter Peru?

  • @ThePassportCouple

    @ThePassportCouple

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Bedern 👋 The short answer is yes, there are travel-related measures and documentation in place to travel to Peru. With that said, it depends on which country you are traveling from to get to Peru. We always recommend checking with your countries' Embassy page for country specific information. For example, when we traveled to Peru, we had to check travel requirements on the U.S. Embassy in Peru website ( pe.usembassy.gov/ ) for the "Entry and Exit Requirements." Though this could change, U.S. Citizens have to provide their vaccine card proving they are fully vaccinated, or provided a negative PCR test, taken no more than 48 hours prior to their departure flight. They also have to fill out an affidavit of health for each passenger ( djsaludviajero.minsa.gob.pe/dj-salud/ ). KN95 masks are also required. If you do not have a KN95, double masking is mandatory, with one of the masks being a surgical mask (the other can either be cloth or surgical as well). We hope this helps point you in the right direction. Peru is an amazing country to visit even with the current requirements 🇵🇪 💛

    Can we get in Machu Picchu ourself without a guy guide Or we have to hire one ? And can you buy the bus tickets at the bus station/ driver or there is a website for that pls? Love your video, it helps a lot 👍 .. we re going there next month ..can’t wait :P

  • @ThePassportCouple

    @ThePassportCouple

    Thank you for the awesome comment and amazing questions 🙌 A guide is not required to go to Machu Picchu, we did not use one. And you can buy bus tickets 🎫 the same day you visit near where all of the buses line up 🚌 🚎 There are quite a few signs, but you can always ask people in the area and they will direct you. We hope you have an amazing trip, Peru is an amazing and beautiful country 🇵🇪

    Hello, I greet you from Santiago of Chile, South America. You could review the musical-visual work "Alturas de Machu Picchu", by "Los Jaivas", a Chilean musical group that made a musical album (1981) where he set the verses of the poems of Pablo Neruda (Chilean poet, Nobel Prize for Literature ). A "television musical special" was made with the songs from the album right there in "Las Ruinas de Machu Picchu" (something like Pink Floyd in Pompeii). See the songs "The powerful death", "Ancient America" or "Go up to be born with me brother". PS: I know your KZread channel is travel oriented, but if you can make an exception I think it will be worth it. Greetings.
