I was at their show in Glasgow on Monday and holy fucking shit they are SO good. Miss the original line up cuz thats the era i grew up with, but god damn they are on fire these days. If you get the chance to see them, go, its such a great fucking time at their shows!

Looks and sounds just as badass as they did 20 years ago in Helsinki. Talk about longevity💪🏻

As much as I love MH. They are already fairly old, not like they are new. They were only about 7/8 years behind Slayer when they started. There is no next Gen Slayer. Thrash has had its time and it’s no longer relevant. No modern metal bands are big enough to attain the success and longevity of Slayer. Unfortunately metal fans don’t support new bands, it’s a genre of traditionalists. Anything that isn’t 30 years old is slammed as poser or not real etc etc

Plenty of thrash and crossover out there, hell Power Trip are back, we've Sylosis that mix modern metal with thrash, Testament are still going strong, they've got 10-15 years in them if they want to, Exodus aren't going anywhere soon , Megadeth are on another world tour with a new album Thrash in the underground is massive again, the German thrash bands are releasing new albums that are brilliant Thrash is no longer relevant ? Thrash is in so many styles of metal nowadays it's going nowhere

@@ANDREWHALL28 none of the bands you mentioned are anywhere close to the commercial power of a peak 1980s/90s Slayer. Megadeth are in their 60s hardly new. Power Trip, singers gone and they were never a big band. Great band, but just saying commercially nowhere close to Slayer. Metal simply isn’t mainstream anymore. Sylosis, good band, but not that big and honestly not that different from most of the newer metal bands out there. There isn’t anything groundbreaking or interesting happening anymore in metal. It’s all the same stuff it’s always been, which is why it’s stagnated and fell off the radar of many music fans. I love metal, don’t get me wrong. Just being honest about how rigid and change resistant the fans are, and how much of a disservice that does to the longevity and vitality of the genre

How did the early stuff sound because I saw them beginning of last year and they just sounded too jagged rather than bouncy and groovy The new stuff sounded fantastic live however but they wrote it 😂

It was absolutely soaking wet and the ground was a mud bath, my mate said standing up was difficult let alone doing anything energetic And seriously why was the crowd lame, because in your opinion if nobody is kicking the crap out of each other it's not metal Give me a break 🤦‍♂️

I was there and me and my mate were headbanging, singing and shouting along, screaming. Absolutely loving this shit. Everyone around us was stood fucking still. They did have a good pit for a while though
