@@AndyPandy33 I', not certain, but possibly the two squadrons (493rd FS USAFE and 103 EFS) have some sort of mutual sponsorship? Both squadrons are also transferring their iconic Cold War twin engine fighters (F-15C and Mig-29 respectively) for single engine ones (F-35A and TF-50) and that may have created a nostalgic bond of sorts.

seeing those 4 Hercs fly together is just stunning such giant aircraft that looked far more nimble than their size would convey... it just makes me think, like the only time you would really see this outside of a photo stunt was back in WW2. Anyone fishing around those reservoirs when the Dambusters came down would have got one hell of a show, even if it did result in their favourite fishing spot getting wrecked. "Franz, they just fucked up the dam." "I know, but wasn't it beautiful?"
This is all so beautiful. The pilots, though - especially in the jet fighters - they get to feel what it's like to be a bird. At 3:29 when the two F-15s pull up out of the valley and into the sky... they're experiencing something truly extraordinary. Yeah, really beautiful to watch.

At that time the MO Air National Guard had a squadron of Eagles. It was amazing watching them take off out of there. Seeing and hearing them gives me goosebumps every time. Loved the formation of C-130s. Had one go low over us during a ski trip last year just as a I got off the lift at the top of the mountain. Better moment than any air show I've ever been at. Disagree. F-15 totally outclasses the junker 35 in ALL aspects. Speed, power, grace... and lets see an F-35 fly with only one wing... never gonna happen. An F-15 has... way back in the 70's. You can google it. And we're not talking a little bit of the wing tip gone... it was the WHOLE wing... back to the fuselage !! Israeli fighter and he landed safely.
