Thank you. I recommend you charge to 85% for better battery health. I like the Ford Mach-E, and especially the AWD model since it is safer. I hope they add a solar panel standard. None of the Teslas come with a solar panel yet, so may be if Ford did that, it would help inspire them. A solar panel could not just add some range each day, but help keep the temperature cooler in the summer.

I’ve gone in for my 10k at the dealership. No cost, just tire rotation and windshield washer fluid. No change in electric bill. My home is over 3k sq feet and our electric is about $200 a month. I charge my MME daily in Texas. I hated going to the gas stations before. I’m glad I have a 240volt in my garage for charging.

Absolutely does, just like when you engange an AC on an underpowered car, you feel that load affect the engine and slow it down a bit. Reginerative breaking uses the same principle, but with a much larger load that feeds what would be lost energy back to the battery. Its all about mitigating loss of energy, which can typically be measured by heat dissipation, typical brakes generate a tone of heat when you stop - all of that is wasted energy - the EV have a unique capability to 'recapture' a good portion of that lost energy and give it back to the batter, all the while saving you brake parts! :)

The time saved not having to go into the stealership is almost worth it in itself to get an EV. I don’t have a Mach E but I have a different EV. Over two years ownership and about 21k miles on it. I rotate my own tires (10 minutes and free to do) and only thing I’ve needed to spend money on is the cabin filter. Takes two filters and came out to $30 for the pair. So maintenance costs alone for over 2 years is $30. Not a typo. Incredible!

Remember Mach-E is made by Ford (Fixed-Or-Repaird-Daily.) I owned a Mach-E from February 21 - December 22, during which it spent more than three months with its stealership with several recalls and numerous problems. Sadly, its stealership refused to provide a loaner and I had to argue with the Ford corporate for each and every repair. Luckily, Ford spontaneously offered me a repurchase with a full refund. To be clear, you don't need to use 1 pedal driving to get regenerative braking in the Mach E. The brake pedal in the car also uses regenerative braking and will only use the friction brakes if you slam the brake pedal, where you are emergency braking, where the regenerative braking alone won't stop the car fast enough.

I doubt that it practically makes much difference on the Mach e whether you have one pedal on or off. Even if you have it off, it will still apply regen braking before friction braking so you'll get most of the efficiency and wear and tear benefits. I would just do whatever your driving preference is. This behavior is not the case for all EVs, which is actually why the Mach E gets some criticism for the feel of its brakes.

I have 21000 on my Mach e. It’s a 2021 car. 7 recalls so far. And it updates like my cell phone. One pedal drive I don’t use. When I did use it, the rotors rusted up. Then when I turned it off, the rust caused the rotors to groove from the brake pads. I wasn’t to happy about that. But Ford took care of it. The tires still seem quite healthy. I rotate them every 10,000 miles as recommended. Washer fluid doesn’t cost me a thing because I get it free at work. I do oil changes at work. It’s great not putting that stuff and gasoline in my car. The biggest issue I have is the range anxiety. This is not a tourist car. It is for local driving only. Charging takes way too long. I do it at home, overnight. Two or three times a week. BTW, there are other fluids. Brake fluid and air conditioner recharge. All in all a great car but it’s the range anxiety that gets me the most. By the way, tires / tire rotations, cabin filters, brake pads, 12V batteries, windshield wipers...aren't "maintenance" items They're consumables that every car on the road generally require replacing when they wear out Maintenance = "Maintaining" the life of what's generally considered a non-consumable part Such as changing oil for an engine or a transmission

I have a Mach E. The car is almost FREE to operate. 27k miles and not one single cost to the shop. Zero maintenance. Nothing. My electric bill at home has increased by about $30 to $60 a month. But it's going lower because my electric rate has decreased from $.15/kwh to $.024/kwh.

I git those done when in for other recalls. The brakes were covered under warranty and I only paid $25 to get brakes replaced. I drive too fast too often and Thus break too hard. But getting better😅

The biggest inhibitor for me has been finding winter tires / wheels to fit the GT. Because of the brake caliber size, you can’t fit 18” wheels with winters on like you can with the other models. And the all-seasons don’t cut it in the northeast.

EV Cost: The only thing that really matters is depreciation. 35% loss in 3 years compared to 5% for a well built ICE or hybrid should wake up most buyers. Some don’t wake up. Some don’t even care about cost. Some are getting the surprise of their life as that can’t get out of the car and its payments because the loss is so great. Now if you are in Government who cares??? That’s somebody else’s problem (in their mind). And the Taxpayers just accept it. Shocking.

However, I have followed some Very Very Very knowledgeable You Tube Channels, and if I'am not Mistaken the EV Family of Vehicles, as far as I Know, (and Don't Quote Me), they "DO HAVE" Coolant of some Sort Used to COOL, the Batteries???? And OIL to Lubricate the Motors Internal Movie Parts???? And just like the ICE Counterpart's..... That will require Periodic Maintenance??? And...... Much more Often than the MFG's Required Intervals. And altho no one say's anything much about them???? The Batteries WILL Require Maintenance and or Replacement at some Point??? That Cost is Totally Ridiculously Expensive??? Just saying. However, Not being an EV owner, I probably am Talking out my Back Side I would Suppose?
