Im tiefsten Inneren der Schaltungen eines mechanischen Aliens, bekannt als Maetrik, findet man ein komplexes Netz aus Synapsen, die irgendwas zusammenhalten, was man Seele nennen könnte: sein Name ist Maceo Plex.Die Entstehung eines solchen Hybriden folgte dem Bedürfnis nach Gefühlen und intergalaktischem Funk.
Für uns Menschen basiert dieses Bedürfnis auf Gefühlen und diese Gefühle sind das, was den Menschen ausmacht.Maceo Plex veröffentlicht auf Crosstown Rebels und ist auf einer Mission, um der Welt Funk und Gefühl zu injizieren: mit deep & funky Tracks werden Nächte mit Maceo zu intergalaktischen Erlebnissen.

Au plus profond des circuits intégrés d’un alien mécanique (un « maetrik » nommé Maceo Plex), un réseau complexe de synapses forme ce qu’on pourrait appeler une « âme ». La création d’un tel être hybride répond aux besoins de sentiments et de funk intergalactique. Pour nous autres humains, ce besoin et ces sentiments sont le propre de l’homme.
Maceo Plex publie ses œuvres sur le label Crosstown Rebels. Il est investi d’une mission, celle d’insuffler au monde du funk et des sentiments : baignées dans cette musique deep & funky, les nuits avec Maceo se muent en expériences intergalactiques.

Maceo is different because he makes his sets a collage, he blends different sounds and textures in to one congruent journey. One of a kind
almost 50 and still dancing..a wise old man asked once..why did u stop dancing and singing...so i came back..this is older then humanity...it is part of our nature...
Every time I see him he blows my mind, and his sets are always so different. 10/10 my favorite DJ

i remember i was there ;)
Don't understand many people love his sets so much. The old sets from Maceo Plex were amazing and feels like a exciting trip. Like his 3 hour set at DGTL in 2015. Last years he use a lot of good tracks but there is no story anymore. Long boring build ups to a climax and many times he stay to long in part of tracks that you complete get out of the vibe. Still think he is one of the best producers in the world and can be one of best dj's too if he change back to his old style
