Hi, Helen, I got the MacBook air m1 for a graduation/birthday gift and I really love it. As a matter of fact I wanted to get the laptop because of you and your amazing unboxing videos. I absolutely love this MacBook it's really good for school and doing multi-tasking. For anyone reading this comment you need to get yourself a MacBook air m1 or m2, my mom has the m2 and it's really good for business and older people's work but the m1 is really good for students and school work so that's my review. Helen I love your videos and I will continue to love them, thanks for the videos..

I want to get the 2019 MacBook Pro, and I’m excited for the Touch Bar and built in Touch ID. Plus, it’s not as expensive refurbished as it is for a brand new laptop on the Apple website, even for the base model.

I've started this year to learn how to code, it's been just a couple of weeks and I decided to go with fullstack development. Do you think this macbook air is enough for said programming? And, if in the future I want to learn other programming languages, will it be enough or should I go with something more powerful?

Yes however how about storage? How much ram and storage you need? You can use the MacBook for anything including coding and programming.

The vid helped me so much thank you. The only thing I’m gonna say is I’ve heard people say the cases that you put on the laptop affects the air flow. I’m not saying take it off I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve heard a lot of people say it affect the airflow of the computer.

i have the same exact MacBook and I think its totally fine if you put a case on it since it doesn't have holes for the air underneath like the previous models did. they case I got has holes as well so maybe it isn't a problem either way. you just have to be careful when you purchase it and look if it has holes or not

i have the 8 gb ram and have 256gb, works fine, but overheats quickly if u use some high powered apps like games, but i recommend getting the m2 as it is newer and just like 200 euros more

Nice unboxing, though you gave me a heart attack when you just press locked the case cause the bottom clip of it is supposed to go first by “sliding” and then press the top part only😅 and the stickers will be upside down when the computer is opened 😅

i never understand y they put the map on the macbooks cause im sure not everyone wants to carry that on a trip lol

I've been reading about hard covers shortening the life of the hinge and about camera covers or anything between the screen and the keyboard potentially cracking the screen of the M1 MacBook air. What are your thoughts about it? I ask because I'm getting the same laptop and would like to protect it.

You’re right about the camera covers (retina screens should be left alone. avoid camera covers, screen protectors and everything screen-related), but about the hard covers you’ve been reading BS: hard covers don’t do anything to your MacBook….they certainly don’t make the Mac heavy (that only happens when the cover itself is heavy af) let alone ruin anything.

@@Allie912 Except no case is _heavy_ let alone “too” heavy…and certainly not heavy enough to force the MacBook’s top half close with its “weight”. LMAO Cases are pieces of plastic that can be more or less rigid, but all are feather-light and weigh nothing. This is nearly as nonsensical as the “silicone keyboard covers overheat your Mac” myth.

Well sir, since you clearly get no bitches: you have to let your nails grow out to a certain length before you can get a fill. Otherwise, the acrylic will have nothing to grab onto. Also, so you'd buy a $1000 laptop to not do anything to it? You wouldn't protect it? Cherish it and decorate it because you love it so much? Right because it makes more sense to get an expensive laptop and treat it like shit. Make that make sense.
