4:28 maybe I’m biased Cu’s I’m both Indian and vegetarian but yes! Indian food is a haven for vegetarians (at least for me) since it’s so flavourful. If it’s the smell you are complaining about, just deal with it. She told you she’d cook you a separate meal (which I find is extremely kind already) but you want her to give up what she majorly eats on a daily basis? That’s a bit much to ask. Just deal with the smell. It’s not that hard

For the Indian food story YTA if she can’t then you can’t eat meat and that is normal food for Indian people I love Indian but not everyone likes it if you don’t like Indian food that’s fine but you can’t tell somebody else not to eat Indian food even if there is a smell go out of the room so YTA

Aight, so for the Indian food one I get both sides. I'm Indian and I've personally grown up with all the flavors and spices of India, so I can also agree that Indian food is a huge thing for me. It's engraved into my childhood and present self. If the girls boyfriend doesn't like the smell and feels sick, maybe they can make a compromise like 2 days of the week they can cook Indian food and 2 days can be what the boyfriend wants maybe? The other 4 could be take out or something they both agree on? Idk- Don't mind me ranting lol, these storytimes just get me thinking- :D

  • @fennecflew

I understand your point. I feel like, though, if the guy doesn't like the smell/it makes him sick, then he could stay in a separate room, or downstairs, while it's being cooked, so that the smell would be far less strong by the time it's done cooking and he most likely wouldn't get a sick reaction to it when it's not strong anymore (sorry if the english was bad here, I'm quite tired)

Same,I agree. Im 11 with IBS and I don't get how he would make himself sick in order to get his full-time wife to have attention to him .Ive lost 3 pounds in 4 months because of it,and I personally think he might have a eating disorder himself,as what happens when you have IBS and you accidentally eat dairy is hell. Like it's to the point where I won't physically eat because I was scared that I was gonna get cramps.

For the last story you're NTA. You could have worded it differently, yes (as in less rude), but it was very understandable that you were upset, so I don't blame you. The brother lied to you and excluded your girlfriend ON PURPOSE, it was obvious that it was not a misunderstanding on his part, he lied and made up excuses and he dealt with the consequences, that's part of being an adult and he should have dealt with it. You clearly aren't TA and do not need to apologize. The brother absolutely does, though, to both you and your girlfriend especially for purposely excluding her. He needs to admit he was in the wrong, and his actions were homophobic.

Okay, for the first one, I have ADHD and Depression. I'm also in high level classes and am in the theater club... and I'm employed. I have/have had coworkers in sports and extracurriculars, and even some with extreme learning disabilities and anxiety disorders who all work adequately. They state their boundaries at interviews (or so I've been told) and if the boss wasn't willing to accommodate, they wouldn't have hired them. Sorry if this seems passive aggressive, but while ADHD and Depression can make some shifts difficult, it doesn't impare your ability to work.

the when that says that he canceled his wife's interview I think it's very childish because he is married to her and she should have been doing chores in the first place and he's just canceling his wife's interviews so he doesn't have to do it and also they can make so much more money and I think he may just not want you to make money because he wants to be the breadwinner and like say oh well I make the money so you have to do what I say and he doesn't want you to be independent he wants to be the money maker.
