I remember seeing advertising from Gripedge when they first put out the tech saying that they were less than tool trucks. I ended up looking into the brand and found that they were actually more per bit and didn't offer nearly the selection of Mac.

I heard of them, but already had RBRT hex and torx sockets. Had a friend that wanted some hex ones, and remembered these. Said they may save you a bit. Looked em up and they were $15 cheaper…..I told him it was his call, but at least I know where to warranty Mac stuff. He went with Mac.

He isn't a full time mechanic and his only basic knowledge of subarus he couldn't even tell me how to vent a purge solenoid on a 2010 forester claimed it needed a factory scan tool when I took it to the dealer they said even they have to manually override them to do a test he's a larper. Oh, and also, he was never a snap-on dealer he was an associate, meaning he never actually owned a truck he pretended to be a dealer. He likes to put on costumes and play mechanic and snap-on dealers he's never been a real anything.

The open ratcheting wrenches is also a difficult set to find for cheap, I wanted some for making plumbing easier with toilets and sinks/shut offs but can’t justify the price

That's the 3/8 drive 10- 19mm for 241. They are showing 1/4 drive in video. Macs website wants 279 for 11-18mm 3/8 drive. Literally 40 dollars more and missing 2 of the most common sizes. Like who needs 11 or 18 ID rather have the 10 and 19.

Yup... Got burned by one myself by him. Hes part of the reason when i start reviewing tools im only going to review them after 1 month of daily use or better. The little wrench i had worked great for a few weeks but it broke right at a month. I could tell it was about to break about 2-3 weeks in and broke on the 4th.
