    @@vazortadrug addiction is not something you can compare to being on a ladder. Terrible analogy

  • @kailathefox

    @kailathefox

    9 ай бұрын

    @@may_sun_It actually is a good analogy. Most people who turn to drugs either do so from childhood trauma or stress they cannot manage, so they look for a quick fix, or something that will make them think clearer to tackle what they can't sober. The example should be: You're stressed out about something on your house that NEEDS to be fixed for you to survive, and you only have an unstable ladder. You have no money to pay for it to be fixed, and no friends or family to help. You use that ladder to try and fix what needs to be fixed by yourself, fully knowing the danger that you might not even make it up there, but it's all you have, so you have to try. The ladder gets wobbly, and most people cling on for dear life, killing themselves in the process. Others stealthily climb down and get off the ladder, and try to think in a different perspective to fix the house. The ones who climb down are few and far between due to the wobbliness of that ladder. So, yes, the analogy was fine, just a little too vague. On that same note: make mental health resources more readily available to those that literally can't pay for them, instead of building "safe spaces" and buying clean needles for them to do drugs. It's fucking comical that you can walk into a hospital as an addict and ask for clean needles, but you can't walk in and ask for therapy/help regarding the addiction.

I miss him like everyday & it hurts like I fr lost a good friend. RIP Malcolm 🖤 26 Forever 🤞🏽

    My first ever LSD trip, as I was coming up I let the entire swimming album play. It was actually Mac’s birthday and it was the first one after his death. I went through a very intense ego dissolution. I closed my eyes and got lost in my thoughts and feelings. I don’t remember seeing many closed eyed visuals.. I just remember this all encompassing feeling of being held like a baby. I felt incredibly warmth and I couldn’t even really make out what was playing. All noise sounded like vibrations. I was feeling it more than I was hearing it.. but in a very intimate way. Like the vibration of the music was sinking into my soul and wrapping me up in all the emotions and experiences I’ve had in my life. Everything was laid out. My traumatic childhood. My troublesome present (at the time) My hopes. My dreams. My ambition. My potential. My flaws. Things I’m proud of. Things I regret. My entire life was displayed before my eyes.. along with all outcomes my future could be. And all outcomes my life could have taken based on every one of my past decisions. After a while, I sort of went into a state of nothingness. I didn’t really feel anything other than peace. I didn’t see anything either. I don’t know how long I was in that state, but when I opened my eyes again, 2009 was playing and I had full blown visuals going over everything I saw. I felt such an intense sense of happiness mixed with profound sorrow for the loss of my favorite artist. But blessed to be alive right here, right now to experience the art he left behind. I just remember hearing those violins play then that beat come on, combined with the vivid colors and dancing patterns. I looked outside and saw the beautiful snow storm, and the trees dancing in the wind. All while this song was playing.. Words do that night no justice. It’s been years since then and it’s easily one of the most influential and deeply cherished nights I’ve ever had. Rip big dog.

    the think i loved so much about mac how is how raw his music was. it was so raw that it got scary to listen too at times. Faces since released was my favorite project of all time. It helped me cope, the thing is it wasn't about the drug use like he was struggling because i could never relate but the being stuck in your head, loneliness and time going away parts. I can't listen to mac anymore because i'm in the best place i've ever been, it just reminds me of the the hard times. I only listen to him in remembrance. His work ethic to just do and create is still a huge inspiration to me

    He speaks from the grave, his music has gotten me through some dark depression times. I found hope in his words! I'm in recovery almost 3 years now. I found Mac about the time I got clean and sober and found out the way he died, and it felt like he was talking to me. I know wierd but it worked here I am 3 yrs later still clean and sober! Thanks for this video! And Mac thank you for your music it's still touching people even though your gone, your never forgotten my brother. Thank you!!! RIP MAC MILLER!

    My favorite line from Come Back To Earth “My regrets look just like texts I shouldn't send And I got neighbors, they're more like strangers We could be friends” these lyrics hits me so much, nowadays neighbors don’t even interact with each other. People used to be friendly and most of that is gone now because people feel the “right to be left alone”. Everyone ends up being strangers. Regardless of the motives.

    I was already holding back tears in the middle of watching this song during the tiny desk concert, when my fiance's text came across the top of my screen saying "Mac Miller died this morning 😢!" That was the absolute wildest shit, and I lost it after reading that. And then my most dope homie who actually got me hip during the blue slide park era showed up to work and had to pass the news. I'll never forget this, each time I hear it, it's that moment again. Rip Malcolm! 🙏
