so much of what people do is off-turning - but the authentic way he approaches his musicianship is so refreshing - both live, as u mentioned, but also just with what he records (i'd say, not specific to, but most evidenced by his last 'bum)

hes too polished nowadays, man. this was raw

Mac DeMarco in the early days really had a dirty, some would even say punk rock type sound. I love this earlier stuff

This is like that awkward gap between raw makeout videotape and super polished Mac Demarco lol

beautiful. I agree with the comment below me about the raw appeal. it's a great song all around. the bass, guitar riff, drums and vocals all just come together so nicely. christ almighty music like this is underrated in the U.S.

..and now metallica should cover mac demarco.. love him, is my hero.
