This might sound pretty cheesy, but I’m really glad you uploaded this cover on here. I listened to Mac Demarco/Makeout Videotape religiously in high school and this was always my absolute favorite track. I’m in college now, but I still revisit this song every now and again and always feel exactly how I did when I was younger whenever I hear it. I’ve never gotten tired of this track now matter how many times I’ve listend to it, I still feel like I’m 16 years old sitting in my room late at night listening to this for the first time. Right now I’ve been going through some intense feelings and personal strife and this song is helping me through it just as it did in the past. This will forever be one of my favorite songs of all time.

The riff for this song folds on itself in a really interesting way. Demarco has a way of playing just enough notes in the bar to make it sound full whilst also putting a modern swing to it. toe tapping goodness.

I think the original is F and G but this is tuned a half step down so its F# and G# or just put a capo on the first fret
