This is the arrival honors for Pres. Joseph Ejercito Estrada during the official commemoration for the 14th Anniversary of the People Power Revolution at the People Power Monument in Quezon City (February 25, 2000). I personally find the event interesting because of the presence of important figures in EDSA like then former presidents Cory Aquino and Fidel V. Ramos, and Jaime Cardinal Sin. You can also say that it's ironic given what will happen in EDSA one year after this event.
This is also the earliest recording I can find as of now which does not use the national anthem as the presidential salute.
"Mabuhay ang Pangulo!" is a march written in honor of Pres. Joseph Ejercito Estrada by the composer Nestor Escano. It was first played during Estrada's inauguration in June 30, 1998 and was used as part of the presidential honors music during the Estrada presidency.
"Marangal na Parangal” (english: “Honorable Salute”) is the presidential salute played in honor of the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
An older version without lyrics was played until 2010. Until the early 2000’s, the national anthem preceded by four ruffles and flourishes was used as the presidential salute.
A new version (with lyrics in Filipino, composed by former PSG Band Conductor Maj. Xavier Celestal) debuted in 2011 and is used in all events of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Coast Guard when the President is present. It is preceded by four ruffles and flourishes, and is often performed with a 21-gun salute during military events.
Traditionally, the incumbent president chooses the march played during the inspection of the honor guard. During the term of Pres. Joseph Estrada, a military band arrangement of Ernani Cuenco's ballad "Kahit Na Magtiis" had been used.

Apparently, the “Parangal sa Pangulo” music here was actually entitled “Presidential March” and was composed by Ernani Cuenco Jr for President Estrada as said in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/npVl1ruQl6ivdso.html
Interesting na binalik ang ganitong rendition ng Parangal sa Pangulo this 2022. Tinugtog ng banda sa Bonifacio Day sa Caloocan.
Walang titik ang Parangal sa Pangulo dahil ito ay musikang pang parangal. Tulad ng mga musikang parangal sa mga heneral ng sandatahang lakas.

Give credit where credit is due. The song “ Kahit Na Magtiis” was written by Joseph Estrada in 1968 after he failed in his bid to be mayor of San Juan- but he succeeded in 1969 ( mayor of San Juan 1969 - 1986) Ernani Cuenco ( his closed friend) put the melody. Pls. double check info for accuracy.

Nakakatawa isiping ang paborito niyang awitin ay ginawang martsa sa pagsiyasat ng tanod pandangal (guard of honour). HEHE!! Sa kabilang banda, samahan siya ng Panginoon para sa kanyang agarang paggaling lalo na't sa kanyang gulang ay mapanganib ang virus.
