Just to clarify, as I have received a ton of emails and DMs asking if I was hosting a retreat in Salem. Unfortunately, no! ☹️ US laws prevent me from doing that - I am only going there for a reunion with the lovely folks from my first retreat to hang out and be magical together 💃✨ But you are all more than welcome to join my retreats close to Munich! You can often find cheap flights on Skyscanner ☺️ more info about the retreat dates on the-witches-path.com/witchcraft-retreats-samhain-retreat-2022/

@@nymphsofartemis2889 One of my direct ancestors (Charles Gott) was a deacon in Salem. Thankfully, he left Salem and went to what is now Maine before the craziness started. While I am glad that he wasn't one of the persecutors there, he was still a Puritan. I am not particularly proud to have Puritans in my family tree!

My husband and I were married on the Autumn Equinox before I identified as a pagan/witch. So I was delighted to find out while learning about the Wheel of the Year that Mabon was also our anniversary 😊 I’ll be celebrating by making oatmeal raisin (my hubbies favorite) and pumpkin spice cookies, and decorating the house more than usual. Thanks for another magickal video ❤

I also love mabon. Always did even before I knew I was a witch! I keep it simple... Cook a little more than in the summer. Slowly go back to living more indoors.... Tea, jam, squash, potatoes! I love the smell, the light, the cooler mornings and warm afternoons! I also go more often to the farmers market and bring nature indoors to decorate... Mabon and Yule are my favorite time of the wheel of the year as a witch 🙏🧡 I also want to start havingore rituals for those two sacred times. In time... I am a new witch and there is so much to learn!

🥰🥰 I paused and sent the poem to a friend early in the video and said another friend found it. I’m glad that feeling isn’t one sided. 🥰 I’m new to more “traditional” wheel of the year type rituals. Wasn’t raised that way but was always drawn to the equinoxes and am understanding more and more why. I LOVE the fall and my bday is sept and harvest js always been my fav. American thanksgiving was meant to be this but in typical human (and American) style it’s become about greed and gluttony. Mabon is my fav now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and ideas they always inspire me!

Thanks for sharing the traditions. When you were talking about going into the forest and setting out a spread for the animals it reminded me of a story of what my great grandmother did for autumn in the Carpathians. The family would walk into the forest, plant some spare seeds, give thanks, pour out some milk or beer and drink the rest enjoying the autumn forest walk.

Regarding the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, Indigenous nations consider it a very harmful celebration and have named it a National Day of Mourning. I grew up celebrating it and my family was quite upset when I stopped celebrating it. I really appreciate the Mabon celebration because is allows me to create new traditions for my family celebrating harvest and gratitude without harming First Nations Peoples.

Mabon is good for myself, while Samhain is important for the contact with my deceased mother in the afterlife. Being thankful is so important. Offering food to the animals, thanking the farmers, clearing up garbage in nature (a labor of Sisyphus in Berlin 😅), etc. Autumn is beautiful. Cold and windy outside, but warm and cozy inside. 😆🍃💚🍃 LOOOVE This! What a beautiful time of year. Where I live close to Chicago, we have a lot of corn squash potatoes and onions this time of year. Lake Michigan brings cool winds and quick changing Autumn colors on the trees. One pot meals or casseroles are usually what I turn to for supper.🍂🎃✨🌙🍃 Thank you WC. Much Mabon Blessings Sister 🥰

This was so beautiful✨thank you. It’s funny how I naturally have done all of these things most of my life without really saying oh yes, I am a witch. But over the past couple of years I’ve really embraced and identified that yes, I am a witch and believe how important these daily rituals and practices have become too me. I really enjoy your videos so much. You are a beautiful teacher and mentor. 🧡🍂✨🧙‍♀️

What a beautiful video! It gave me so much joy and inspiration! Obviously I loved that a Swiss „Alpabzug“ was being featured and i really liked that you mentioned the many ways how the harvest is being celebrated.. Oh yes, all the autumn markets and fairs that are giving joy to this season! Just to add some traditions: celebration of the grapes / wine and celebration of the chestnuts - the latter is very important in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland (Ticino). I wonder if we have „Kartoffelfeuer“ here, too - it sounds like real fun.

Loved everything about this! I had a nice little laugh about Capricornian plans. I am a Leo with Virgo tendencies and I need a plan with a backup plan that sometimes has its own back up plan, just in case. haha! Mabon is also my favorite holiday the energy is just so lively and makes my spirit sing. All I want to do is get into the kitchen and bake, make soups, drink my coffee, then read a book while I knit.

Bex, your enthusiasm for Mabon is palpable! Thank you for sharing. I'm hoping to go to a pagan gathering the eve of the equinox and trying to think of what to bring as food for the community. I wish I had access to damson plums where I am! Here in Minnesota though apples are a big deal this time of year, so maybe I can try my hand at an apple cobbler--inspired by you!
