MABLETHORPE | Full seafront tour of Mablethorpe near Skegness, England
A seafront tour of Mablethorpe near Ingoldmells and Skegness, England to have a seaside walk along the beach and in the funfair to see why people visit Mablethorpe for their holidays.
Mablethorpe beach is vast and golden, with a beach train, donkey rides and the sea to paddle in. The promenade here is also vast and there's always plenty of space to relax. You will also find Mablethorpe Funfair and amusements situated just off the promenade as well as indoor markets, shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and hotels all there to cater for your seaside holiday needs.
Skegness is just down the road too and so is Ingoldmells and Fantasy Island so this stretch of the English coast is fantastic if you like nipping to different seaside resorts on your holidays.
Mablethorpe is definitely a place for beach holidays with so much beach to set up your deck chair and windbreaker and enjoy the summer. You can also rent beach huts here along the seafront, have some candyfloss or an ice cream, enjoy adventure golf, go karts, rollercoasters, dodgems and amusements all day long.
If you enjoy this Mablethorpe tour or you would like to see our Skegness and Ingoldmells video (fantasy island is great!) then why not subscribe to see those too!

This is a pleasant blast from the past, my parents retired to Mablethorpe in the 70s. from Nottingham, I remained there to start my married life, to a wonderful young man, but we visited my parents every weekend even when my Son & Daughter came along, we spent hours in the amusements, and on the golden beach and swimming in the fabulous surf, my kids loved the sand train that was on the beach every day, I recognise some features but it has greatly altered and much more busy! I’m in my twilight years now and wish my late husband could share these wonderful memories with me, your tour stopped I think at the end of Waterloo Road, where my son has inherited my parents property, so he still has contacts with our past, and occasionally gets to visit Mablethorpe with his family, thank you for sharing this delightful video and rekindling some of my favourite 😍 memories 🤗fish and chips was one of my favourite 🤩

Oh yes can’t beet seaside fish and chips !
I don’t care what anyone says, you have to go some way to beat the beach at Mablethorpe. There’s a reason part of the resort is called Golden Sands! Very aptly named. The beach looks so clean and the sand looks so pure and golden, just the way I remember it from my childhood. And so extensive as well - all the way down to Sutton on Sea. Some years ago I remember the High Street looking a bit jaded but your video seems to show it’s cleaned itself up and it’s taking a pride in its appearance, unlike our mutually shared city that you filmed a few days ago!😤 Altogether Mablethorpe looks like the quintessential British ‘bucket and spade’ type holiday destination that’s at the very top of its class in the genre. PS: it’s great to see the best chippy in the town, Salty’s, still packing them in. That place must be a little goldmine!🤩😎

Honestly, I think Lincolnshire has the best coast if not the best one of the best. I go to Mablethorpe many times a year and used to live here, my grandad had a caravan here. I can’t stop visiting this place it’s lovely, also there’s huge jellyfish at the sea in Mablethorpe. Great video keep it up 👍

Another great video many fond memories of holidays at golden sands holiday park and day trips with my late parents. I remember Wrates photo shops and their photographers taking photos of us on the sea front. I remember one photographer taking a photograph of me and my sister holding little monkeys outside one of the arcades happy days thanks for the memories,
Still love Mablethorpe. Anyone old enough to remember the original sand train in the 60s. It's still around in a salvage yard . Ran on a cortina engine. I still photos of it. Built by a local engineer.

@@GimbalWalkTV I have no idea. I was at the now closed Theddlethorpe terminal on the engineering side when the subject came up. I guess it's in right state. The shell was fibre glass. I know it's location. Tho. I do have photographs of it with me as kid as it went down the beach.
Great video, love mablethorpe. Spent alot of years there as a kid, 70s and early 80s. Nana had a caravan on towervans. Shame they took the big tower down on the sit though. Still go now and then, great memories. Thankyou for showing . 👍

Me dad had a caravan on towervans Park it was so different to how it is nowadays we had to fetch the water and empty the bowl from under the van where the sink waste went and we had paraffin heating and lighting I think 🤔 the beach was lovely and used to go to the dunes theatre the good old days hey ! We was there yesterday just for the day

Loved watching your video brought back childhood memories. I now live in Cheshire but lived in Peterborough so before Beeching day trips a plenty to Mablethorpe. The beach looks as good as I remember and only difference to main street is more cafes and amusements. Thanks

Went to Mablethorpe in the 90s and loved it there, remember fishing on the beach when a massive thunderstorm hit, unfortunately it was reported that two people were killed in that area, never seen a storm like it in this country.

I have just come back from Mablethorpe today and it was really nice. I have been to Mablethorpe once before back in the 70s when I was only 7 years old but couldn't remember it well. Last year, I went to Skegness for the first time since 1979 and I didn't like it much. Normally I would travel to exotic locations (Maldives, Seychelles, Mediterranean countries, South East Asia countries) but still being cautious about the pandemic even though it is getting better now. Coming back to Mablethorpe, I had a nicer experience and the locals were nice and friendly. One of the chippy places I went to (I can't remember the name of the place now) served some amazing fish and chips and the owner was very friendly and had a good chit chat with him. Since I am from Nottingham, I think this might become my regular UK seaside place to go to from now on for my every summer day trip - it used to be Brighton (although I had to stay the night there) as I have been there over 30 times!!!
So much bigger and busier than I remember.

Good to see Rebecca with you today on this one Neil. Had many happy day trips to Mablethorpe, and a few longer breaks. Always had to go to the amusement arcade first as there was a place in there did swirly pattern painting and our youngsters loved making those pictures. Believe the machine was made from a potter's wheel. Great fun. Don't think anything like that is there now. Lovely video again. Love the music. Thank you. 👍😁🚶♂️

Yes agreed the beach looks fabulous and is actually the best part. I’m afraid the so called town is as all of the nice old English seaside towns have now become ran down shanty places with junk shops and no meaningful shops. Just plastic tack shops hair dresser’s mini market shops, factory outlet shops. It’s all terribly ran down with no real investment for local people. If you removed the picturesque beach from this video altogether then why on earth would anyone actually go there? All sad but frankly very true
