really adore his tunes. but at times felt slightly forcefitted for words. You can notice it in all his masterpieces in malayalam. Can't blame since a non malayali. But MB Srinivas doesn't have this issue.

Listened to the original. 'Ja Re Ja Ja Phire Ja' by Sandhya Mukherjee (1966, Bangla). In most cases original will be the best. Sandhya Mukherjee is a great singer. But Salilda tweaked the song in malayalam and lyrics by ONV added to it makes the song better.Hindi is the worst of all and lyrics is the reason.

You are absolutely correct ! Only because of Janaki Amma this song came to such beautiful level ! Even we can ask the music director and lyricist , but both are not alive ! Janaki Amma only changed the tune of this song, else it would have been failure !!! This is the truth , you can ask her ; she had told about the recording story to me !!

അതെ, അതിൽ തർക്കം ഇല്ല. പക്ഷെ ഒറിജിനൽ ഗാനങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഒരുപക്ഷെ ഇതിനേക്കാൾ നന്നായേനെ. കളങ്കം ഇല്ലാത്ത പാട്ടുകൾ ആയേനെ. മലയാളം അറിയാത്ത വേറെയും സംഗീത സംവിധായകർ നമുക്ക് പാട്ടുകൾ തന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്, അവ മിക്കതും ഒറിജിനൽ ഗാനങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു. eg :- ബോംബെ രവി, ഉഷ ഖന്ന, ഖയ്യാം, രവീന്ദ്ര ജെയിൻ

This song had the beats not matching with the lyrics in fact. It was Janakiamma who suggested Salilda to take the beats as afterbeat to avoid incorrect pronunciation.

ശരിക്കും ഈ പാട്ടിന് എന്തോ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ത ... വരികളിൽ ദീർഘമിടങ്ങിടത്ത് ഹ്രസ്വം ഫീൽ ചെയ്യുന്നു .... "മാതള പൂ പൊലൊരു" വേണ്ടിടത്ത്..."മാതള പുപോലൊരു" എന്നാണ് കേൾക്കുന്നത് .... നിരവധി സ്ഥലത്ത് ഇതുപോലെ .... അതു കൊണ്ടായിരിക്കാം ഈ ഗാനം ഇത്രയും മനോഹരമായത്
