Dr James Williams talks about the MA in Victorian Literature and Culture. The programme covers a wide number of areas across the nineteenth century and is centred on literature of the Victorian period. In the first term students take a core module that gives a grounding in different aspects of the literature of the period. The School teaches students close reading skills in literary history and social history, bibliographical skills, and research methodologies. Students also have the choice of taking options from other courses and incorporating some of those into their program to widen its range.
