Well Glenn, I'd argue that Lidar has a higher profit margin but harder barrier to entry. Albeit that never seems to stop you!!! We love the M30t, but as you'll see in a video we are about to launch. WE know a lot of pilots losing jobs because they only fly DJI. Might be something to consider. Upcoming podcast on ADU.

Paul, thank for the information you patiently shared. Being the M30t the best drone for Inspections, probably with the M300 you will have way more options being capable to bring a variety of payloads depending on the mission…(project) also having the same features for inspections than the M30t… are you agree that the M300 is a more complete and versatile drone for not only inspections but lots of different scopes than just inspections? Does it make the M300 a better drone than M30t? Thanks again

I got my Matrice 30T and flew it. I was surprised that it flew way different that the Mavic 3/Enterprise 3T/Mavic 3 Pro/Mini Pro 3. Ilove it but I think it is really aimed at 2-person flight. That is where I see this drone shining. I am getting my second controller to enhance my experience. For exposure I have never flown FPV.

Cool video, do you have any info on the actual downloading of files to IOS? After experiencing issues I contacted dji and they said the Bluetooth isn’t functional and doesn’t support iOS, only android. Any thoughts?

The M300 is definitely a pain in the butt to get around and do multiple jobs in a day. but doesn't the P1 have a 48 mp camera sensor? the M30 def seems like a move for the future and ease of getting through the day of multiple jobs. Mavic 3 E is a awesome to get around with ..

I had my whole drone unit replaced due to thermal sensor damage. They claim to have burn protection, but it is meh. For any daytime missions where I don't need thermals, I'll just cover the sensor with some tape.

I've been tasked with having to complete thermal inspections for several facilities for my employer. As a first time pilot, is this drone a good choice? I don't have the "luxury" as it were to get something like a Phantom 4, gain some flight experience, and then step up to this drone.... I get the chance to buy one drone.

It’s a great drone but seems to be a couple of issues being ignored by dji and 3rd party retailers. The files can’t be downloaded directly to an iOS device and the Bluetooth is non-functioning. This information comes directly from dji. It will work with android / pc devices though.

Hello from California. Do the propellers show in many of the photos and videos?

The camera and flight controls are separate. You can get the propellers in the shot if your not carefull. But not hard to adjust camera to get them out of photo.

I just seen a different video with you saying the Mavic 3E is not good with mapping?

Being that this has a global shutter vs mechanical shutter and two Puck RTK should not out perform the Enterprise 3

Remote looks heavy af. Wish I had a reason to get one of these though!!

If you don't put the crystal sky backup battery in the remote, Its really not that heavy. Built well and durable but I never needed a lanyard to support the remote.

It is kinda heavy if you're standing and holding the remote for extended periods. I've certainly felt the muscles in my forearms start to burn after 30-40 minutes of flying.

Such a shame that the camera can't look up. Be so useful for structural inspections

You don't need a mapping mission to use RTK - you should enable it all the time as it will hold the drone in one spot better in the sky - better than the Inspire!!!!

You don't need rtk in most scenarios for this drone. Inspire has it now too, but it has better reasons since it is a cinematic drone.

@@minskwatcher exactly, the inspire 3 only needs it for the dolly movement mode, which is by the way game changing and amazing

the M300 is the top of the range sorry M30!! paired with my RC Pro Plus!! 🙂

No thermal camera is safe looking at the sun. That’s not a DJI issue. Why would anyone even think about looking at the sun? Anyone who knows infrared thermography will tell you the sun should be down to conduct any thermal inspection except for solar, and with solar you are Looking at the panels not the sun lol.

There's an issue though. If I have to fly during daytime there is no way to just turn off the IR camera and have it covered by a shutter. I already got one drone replaced for that. Now daytime flight on a sunny day is only with IR cam getting taped shut.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to get ride of precision landing especiallyat that price point? All of the autonomous ai functions are genius level tech.

If the m30T wide camera has a global shutter and this drone has a two puck RTK this should be great at mapping. Is this supposition or do you in fact own a m30 drone?
