  • @EastTactics

    @EastTactics

    Personally M2C. As far as top end strength and toughness peace of mind. You can send with confidence with M2c. Now with carbon fiber the strength of carbon fiber is directly proportional to the weight saving that you have throughout the entire vehicle. For instance if you’ve got a ton of carbon fiber spread throughout your vehicle and you dramatically reduce the overall weight of your rig the carbon fiber is amazing because your vehicle reduced weight emposes less strain on big air landings. If that makes sense. The rig your installing in also makes a difference. If your rocking the lighter weight typhon, talion etc. I’d be more inclined to lean toward carbon fiber (especially if your using carbon fiber everywhere you can. Note: M2C chassis no matter what) But for a 6s Kraton… since they are the heavier rig, I’d only go carbon fiber if I was building and extreme light build. Including incorporating the lightest battery I could find. So if you’re sort of mixing m2c aluminum parts throughout your vehicle and you’re thinking about going with only one or two pieces of carbon fiber. I would shy away from that. I hope that answers your question let me know

    It makes absolute sense that the over all weight reductions will aid in stress relief I didn’t even think of that and that’s the reason I went with carbon fiber was for the weight and the strength of it I’m not a big air basher I have a second Kraton for that this truck I’m building is light jumps and sand dirt and street it’s not a store bought truck it’s a complete ground up build I greatly appreciate your input this is my first build

    Building a m2c kraton 6s right now because I destroyed rear tower hing pins testing 3DRC unbreakable wing mount.your opinion, how well will the exb chassis hold up with m2c towers/braces/hr bulkheads?

  • @EastTactics

    @EastTactics

    2 жыл бұрын

    How did the 3DRC wing that hold up? As far as rocking everything MTC but holding off on the chassis. I feel like that’s a “fix it when you break it type of mentality” which is absolutely fine. And actually one of the mentality that I highly recommend in this hobby. But I will say that I’ve always thought the MTC chassis is the best most pivotal upgrade you can put on your rig. So eventually I feel like you’re going to get one. But you might as well wait until you bend your stock one. The Exb chassis is dramatically stronger than the older versions. So it very well could hold up just fine with your style of bashing for the long-haul. So I don’t think that jumping to the MTC chassis right away is needed per se. But then again you might be an extreme basher and find that you bend your stock chassis next week. Pick m2c up then...😆

    Not the best experience for me. I installed these on my talion EXB and I had a front standoff snap on the second jump, which I only got 1-2 feet off the ground and landed on all 4. I ordered a new set hoping I just got a bad one and the next set it better!

  • @EastTactics

    @EastTactics

    Yeah unfortunately in the world of metal manufacturing sometimes it’s impossible to know if there is a crack or a defect in a piece of metal. It’s pretty rare but nobody is impervious to the sort of anomaly. And it sounds to me like you definitely got a standoff with one of those imperfections. I’m glad that you were able to get it resolved

  • @bigaltough

    I was looking at the scorched rc stand off they r like the m2c ones check them out I don't no if they r better or just as good as m2c let me know what u think buddy? Nice to see u bk 😉👊👍💪🤙

  • @EastTactics

    @EastTactics

    2 жыл бұрын

    The scorched RC looks strong. They do incorporate the two piece design similar to the original stock shock standoff. However instead of using a 3 mm bolt they use a 4 mm bolt that threads all the way through. The bolt itself is not titanium. In fact I’m not even 100% sure that the actual outer covering of the shock standoff is titanium. Considering they also sell aluminum parts on their website and the description doesn’t specifically say that that piece is made of titanium. Either way a 4 mm bolt going all the way through is a definite upgrade. And it looks like it’s made out of a quality steel. So I would say that the scorched RC standoffs are pretty close to neck and neck with m2c. The other thing to consider though is… correct me if I’m wrong but I think scorched RC is not in our country. So shipping might take a little bit longer as well as be a little bit more expensive. Whereas we know m2c ships pretty fast.

    G'day from Oz and keep up the great work. Just new to rc and bought the Mojave V2. So just a quick question, are these M2C shock tower stand offs suitable for stock Mojave shock towers, or would I be better off installing the M2C shock towers at the same time as installing the upgraded stand offs?... Cheers 😁🇦🇺

  • @EastTactics

    @EastTactics

    9 ай бұрын

    Stock shock towers are stock shock towers M2Cs are definitely much better and I would highly recommend eventually switching to those, especially in the rear. But most people simply wait for the need to pick up the shock towers unless money isn’t an issue, of course jump to them right away. Because they are dramatically better. And eventually you probably will bend your stock shock towers. The shock standoff’s on the other hand is something that you should definitely upgrade right away. You want to avoid the inevitable break there by jumping to the better quality M2C version. Everything M2C makes is going to be dramatically better than stock. For example, if you end up bending your chassis then at that time I would recommend jumping to the M2C chassis, etc..

    @stevestanton8281 Lol, no worries at all my friend. There is no bad questions especially when you’re new and I’m definitely always happy to help. Yeah the reason why the button head is on the bottom is because it lessons damage to the chassis overtime. Back in the day it used to be a straight grub screw and that grub screw would just dig a hole right in the metal chassis and Screw up your settings. Droop is really important to get set properly so that you don’t break shock rod ends. If you haven’t seen my video on how to properly set your droop, just search my Library and you’ll find it. Later.
