The M2 is a seriously impressive piece of kit. For the price, it's easily the best value Mac in 2024. Are you waiting for an M4 upgrade or going to grab the M2 in 2024?

Wow! That’s an amazing deal!! The m2 Mac mini would be an amazing student computer.
You can't turn the bottom plastic cover of the Mac Mini any more to gain access to the device. Apple put a stop to that in the 2020 M1 Mac Mini, and now the M2 also. Probably because you can't upgrade anything internally in the Mac Mini any more, RAM, SSD etc are soldered in. I think the reason Apple haven't changed the design of the Mini in so long is because a lot of people use these machines as servers and put them in server racks, and any change to the thickness, width etc... would mean they would not fit properly in the racks. That’s a great comment! I didn’t know it was no longer possible to access that internals via the bottom plate. That was one of the best features of the Mac mini series lol. Think you’ll upgrade to the M4 series?

@@Lukekellytech I am trying to talk myself out of getting an M4 Mac Mini when they launch, because my M1 version is doing great, but I bet I do upgrade come the time :) They are excellent value for money and Apples most overlooked computer. I love them! We should be seeing an M4 Mac Mini around September / October time. P.S - Although you can't turn the bottom plate with you thumbs to access the M1 & M2 Mac Mini's, you can still pry it off with a pry tool or a screwdriver or something.

@@nman3345 haha. I think I’m gonna get the M4 this time around - I typically upgrade every 2 years or so. Glad it’s still possible to access the internals! I’m sure Apple has a proprietary tool for Mac Minis lol. 😂 have an awesome weekend ahead!
