Honestly that game is just luck. You had everything lineup; good position, clueless enemies, no revenge cas, no gaijin monents, good team that held the flanks. Ive had those games, and it requires virtually no effort. 19 kills is very cool, but the tank doesnt really shine when you're just handed a game like this.

Clueless enemies as a consequence of good positioning, a "good team that held the flanks" as a consequence of killing most of the enemies on that side of the map at the start of the game. The only remotely valid point brought up here is getting lucky with CAS.

The whole game is just hoping for the right circumstances so that you MIGHT be able to do well in the situation. There are few situations in wt where you can be absolutely sure you're gonna do well in.

I honestly dont know what makes the average american player so awful at War Thunder. They don't even have bad vehicles like italy. Honestly, the mass defunding of public schools may have turned off all critical thinking skills the US may have once had. The average american war thunder player is like a zombie. New players who don't know shit buying the click-bait without every playing anything else. The US is probably one of the most played nations in war thunder. Also the lineup isnt that great if you are buying a premium. The ADATS being classed as a TD makes it so much more expensive to spawn, and leads to a lack of air defense if someone is playing dedicated air defense. Also the tank has massive weak spots compared to the other MBT's of the big 3 most played nations.

So when you play the Abram’s, I’m guessing that you’re probably brain dead.

I think it's pretty telling that almost every time I see a semi-competent Abrams team in matches, the enemy gets their shit kicked in. Turret armor is still pretty good, UFP bounces allot of shots even if LFP doesn't eat anything, great hull handling and speed, and a diabolical reload exceeded only by Leclerc and Type-90/10. Play this tank to its strengths and it's almost as terrifying as a Leopard 2A7. Sometimes, I'd even take it over a 2A7 for the reload. Stronger than allot of players would like to believe

@@mathewventura7196 When I played 11.3 USA on stream I won 9 out of 11 matches. So, I would not call it that cherry picked. And that includes a loss where I got 24 kills in 3 deaths. Just because your team is full of clickbaits does not mean that the enemy team is much smarter. They just have a lineup that helps them win in the long run usually.

Definitely my favourite Abrams of all: the laser jammer can help you,the dozer blade can be used to pre-spall some shots (and it saved me multiple times) and the DU inserts in the turret definitely makes a difference compared to the M1A1. Plus,if you have a 11.3 lineup,you can face the 10.3 premium spam more often

The Abrams is just fine in my experience. Yeah the weakspot is kinda large and it's not the best in armor, but it is quick, great ammo, quick reload and armor that can save you sometimes. Never had trouble playing it myself, but facing against it a lot of Abrams drivers just fly into battle or fight with it wrong. I don't know why, it feels pretty obvious to me how to play it (exploitation tank that can brawl in some circumstances) but I guess that doesn't come across to most people. I do still love it though, great tank

Yea always its not the vehicle its the player BUT if u wanna compare 100+ day on mbt (no offense) to avg player thats where tanks start to matter. Today and yesterday i played like for 2-3 hours just to get ~2 wins (12 matches lost in a row) thats bs. Where most pep wanna come home from a job/whatever just to have so "fun" being spawncamped 80% of these matches in first 6 minutes by mostly russia germany and sweden team. Thats just dumb that most winrate and spall liner bs countries are playing together. Not to mention radicilous russian cas. If there are 1 quitters( from my observation) its slighty very slighty more common is US teams mostly 2-3 deaths and quit. Why? Because after u die twice without doing anything u just cant spawn anymore. 1 death from ka50 then 1 death by tank that just ate a side with spall liner. On the enemy team half of team has 0 deaths (big BRUH). And yea i m US top tier main and i have aloooot more bs about top tier that i just dont wanna make it wall of text

Countless other tanks don't have spall liners either, and they still perform much better than the M1's. The terrible winrates really have nothing to do with the M1's lacking, it's purely the players being absolutely dogshit. My M1A1 is on a 5 - 1 K/D ratio and that model has even worse armour than the M1A1 HC, armour protection also isn't a valid excuse for why the global performance is so poor.

That aside the M1 is piss easy to kill too so its armour it pretty irrelevant so as it currently stands I see no reason to play the M1A2 (and later variants) when we have Leo 2A7s, T-80BVM/T-90M, Leclerc's and Type 10s. The Leo 2A7 is simply a better vehicle which is why the terrible German players finally start winning at top tier.

@@aflyingcowboy31 M1A2 SEP is superior to the T-90M and Leclerc. It's equal to the T-80BVM and Type 10. The Leopard 2A7V and Strv 122 are the current flavour of the month, that doesn't mean that everything which isn't a Leopard 2A7V automatically sucks. Also, if you want to argue that the M1A1 HC could be 11.7 because it's similar to the 11.7 M1A2's, I'd agree with you. The countless buffs that M1's have received over the years have made the older models some of the best MBTs relative to their BR in the entire game.

Honestly as a player that has over 8k hours in this game and was playing WT when there were only airplanes in it, I can tell you objectively that Abrams is a decent tank, not bad but not great either. The biggest downsides of the tank are that it has the loudest engine in the game meaning everyone will hear you coming, that turbine you can hear miles away, the classic nato hump, meaning you cant fire or protect your rear or 6 oclock. It has a big frontal weakspot and with the addition of all that nonsense on the top of the turret it is extremely vulnerable to top overpressure from heat or he rounds. Doesnt have 3rd gen gunner optics but still a very good sniper or a hull down monster for long range engagements. You can still excel in it if you know how to play it . But in all aspects Abrams does not even come close to the Leopard , STRVS,T80 or the black prince.

Oh, how I wish that every US teammate was like you checking around. I literally stopped grinding 9.0 US just because everytime i mark an enemy flanking, shoot at it. Scream about it on the chat NO ONE LOOKS OR REALIZES THE DANGER. i had a match that I've pinned down a df105 on a corner. 5... 5 guys drove passed by and got killed with me marking it with mg and map. (US only vs Ger,Rus) Also at the same match i had to go back from the cap to our spawn because 6 guys on the spawn somehow got pinned down by an is3. They even had 2 m60. How tf they can't kill an is3 right in front of the spawn?

still baffles me how people can mess up with a M1A1 HC, even more so how people can now mess up with a straight up pay-to-win T80U now

Well objectively it does worse than any other nation last few times I checked - so cherry picking a game, from someone who drops nukes constantly and is in the .01% of players, doesn't prove it isn't a poor implementation of the Abrams line in the game of War Thunder. Some combination of poor modeling, poor BR placement, being behind other nations year-to-year on what is in game per BR, etc contribute to mediocre win rate and KDA at top tier, ON AVERAGE, for the USA. The fact that Chinese and Russian tanks are as competitive as they are and USA's are doing so poorly (by objective statistics) is enough to show something is wrong. Russian and Chinese tanks are not superior outside of nationalist chest-beating from their army marketing videos.

I 100% agree, but I am just a bit tired of people talking trash about the tank when its more of a lineup issue. The adats just is not nearly as competitive as the Pantsir or VT1 launchers in countering cas. While also costing more sp to spawn. Of course the Abrams is not perfect. It does have way more "weak" areas compared to other top tiers but if you are counting on taking hits then I think you are playing the wrong nation for top tier. It's advantage has always been it's firepower. Your entire goal should be to always fire first no matter which nation you play. And if you get put into situations where that is not the case the abrams will suffer more than most other top tiers.

I just said it's objectively performing worse and if it were a good tank, the good players would flock to it and abuse it with 70% win rate like people did with Russian top tier for what? 3 years or so? Like I said, there are a lot of factors. I'm the guy who made a gif of German ground battle win rates declining in a wave from BR 2.0 through to 6.0 over the month or so following holiday sales and a new-player friendly event. I get that sometimes it's a player issue and not the vehicles. But for the US top tier ground lineup, it's the vehicles' in-game versions and a lot of modeling and design decisions around them.

abrams is a great tank probably in top 3 in my opinion. great mobility, very versatile, somewhat decent survivability, 2nd best round in the game with 5 seconds of reload on the best gun handling.

@@Optimusprime56241 the mobility is great? Its one of the fastest accelerating mbt in the game despite its heavy weight because of the turbine and transmisson. Top speed barely matters when 68 kmh is the average so its very good at every map including cqc so when played right you will always get the first shot with 5 sec reload. The abrams is also very survivable because of how darts are incorrectly modeled in game, so if you need a turret ring kill it has to be dead center or the dart bounces downwards. Also you dont play top tier to get hit… armor is just a bonus you practically dont need.

This video proves nothing about the Abram’s being underpowered. When you’re at a very good hiding spot and an advantageous ground, any tank should be able to achieve flanking or surprise attacks on its opponents. In other words, when playing at a position such as this, the result shown in the video is the least that the tank should offer. The real underpowered part is when both tanks fight head on, this is when armor and weaponry differences are displayed the most obviously, and is also the easiest way for an opposing force to gain advantage over its adversary, since if you can defeat the enemies by simply overmatching them capability wise, then there’s no need to think about maneuvers that are difficult to achieve or are easy to counter, such as timing and flanking. It’s time to stop pretending that the Abrams, or any vehicle is alright by putting it in the hands of an above average player. Because the player is not the point, the vehicle is. Videos such as this one displays nothing about the vehicle but to show off the player’s montage. When a vehicle is truly underpowered or underdelivered is when the vehicle is pitted against its adversary vehicle while both vehicles are piloted by players of average skill, and if the target vehicle is defeated easily and that the opposing vehicle has an significantly easier time to achieve optimal results, this is when a vehicle is underpowered or under delivered.

tbf the trolly ufp doesnt really matter (thats how it is in real life) when you can just shoot like a few pixels up and possibly one shot the entire turret crew. Not disagreeing with what you are saying, obviously the Abrams is a good tank and its definitely a player/premium issue. One death leavers basically ruining it because not having a line up really means your team struggles in the long run as your teammates drain away.

It really never was the problem, the players are but so is Gaijin for bringing 11.3 premiums and messing up top tier for good.
