M112 Water Pump Replacement

Here you will see what is involved to replace the Water Pump on a 2003 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG which is a W203 Chassis. This procedure should work on most variations of the M113 (V8) and M112 (V6) engines.

Yep, I just picked up a 2003 c32 in need of much TLC. I heard a lot of noise from the front of the motor and found the sc pulley bearing had failed. While checking the other bearings, I found the water pump, while not leaking, the nose is wiggling like you demonstrated. I have the e sockets, but I need some of those cool hooks. I use silicone paste, but I think I'll get a can of that spray you used. Thanks!

great job im thinking of buying a c32 what should i look out for found a 2002 with 160k miles for 6500

Supercharger front bearing can make noise, w203 interior door handles are usually loose or broken off, blend door actuator may make knocking noise or not work. Usually those are the most common issues. The M112 engine is pretty bulletproof like the M113 (v8 version). Just test that the engine doesn’t whine loud, interior door handle condition, heater & a/c function and of course for rust around the bottom edges of the car (bottom of doors, fenders. Also around windshield and back window.
What did you use on the tensioner pulley to loosen the belt?

Just a long 3/8 breaker bar with a universal socket (supposed to use an external torx socket)
