M1 Garand Rear Sight Install - T105

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Shows T105 rear sight assembly and initial adjustment. Applies to M1A and M14 rifles too. Parts have a light coating of Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease applied before assembly. This is for smooth operation, and for corrosion and wear protection. M10 tool shown. To set the cover spring I used a non-marring plastic auto trim tool. A flat blade screwdriver also works.

Is it possible to replace the Mini-14's rear sight with the Garand's one (T105E1)?

hey, I wish. I have a mini-14 as well. I am convinced the mini-14 is best left as is. It is perfect for what it is, imo, and super handy. Just a fun rifle. I know some folks have fun modifying it.

When i want to adjust the windage on my M1 and irotate the knob, my sight does not move :-( any idea what the reason could be? It moves a little bit and hops back into the position

Since it is quick and easy, you may want to just disassemble and do a clean and inspect for wear or damage. If nothing obvious, reassemble so that you know it is correct, and retry.
