It never ceases to amaze me at the vitriol that comes from people watching new players make mistakes. Judgment from the crystal palaces of their error-free minds is swift and harsh. Good game at the level of 1000! Zhekova defended well against Ilyukhin's attacking efforts, she won a pawn and remained with a decisive time advantage. 14:17 : Rxg6+! Good (although simple) tactics, which should have given the final blow to black's position! After black's move Kf8, Qc5+ Ke8 (Rd6 or Qd6 might have avoided immediate checkmate, but for the price of a decisive material disadvantage) Qe5+ etc. might have been a better continuation than the materialistic Rxh6. 16:44 Here she missed mate in 1 by Qh8#. 16:54 same here. Qh8# would have been immediate checkmate. Despite of her enormous time advantage, she started playing too quickly. She always maintained a winning position, although she played some inaccuracies. But she prolonged the game much more than necessary. Nice conversion in the pawn ending. 19:33 Last point of attention: No, not the king! Taking f3 with the king would be stalemate! Congratulations for a well-deserved win!

Ilyukhin walked into check with his King, Zhekova didn't notice and the game went on. She was rushing like crazy in his time trouble and made things harder than they should have been.

да ладно, давно может не играла с часами, по ошибке смотрела не на свое время, а на соседнее. Зато до "цейтнота" играла на выигрыш. Потом еще и короля могла съесть в какой-то момент)) Вот mr L. Ilyukhin расстроил ронянием фигур.

@@Serg_Shvezoff Ну извините! Там во втором случае (16:54) стоял банальнейший линейный мат, причем и ферзь, и ладья, и вражеский король были прямо здесь, в самой прямой видимости на пустой доске. А роняние фигур, тут соглашусь, выглядело некрасиво.
