Can't believe he's gone.... my girlfriend grew up in Cleveland listening to Michael Stanley, and turned me, an East Tennessee Americana artist into a lifelong Michael Stanley fan! What a voice this guy had! No one else in Rock and Roll sounded even remotely like him, and you could immediately tell who it was when you heard him on the radio. He definitely deserved to have bigger success than what he got. Maybe in death his legend will grow. I have all his albums and CDs, but this is the first time I'd ever seen him on video. Good lookin' son of a gun with loads of charisma! Even though he and his band had three hit records, I just don't understand why he wasn't a house hold name in the 80's. Makes no sense at all.... RIP Michael.... You are loved!

thank you for speaking to his beautiful, deep soulful smooth r -n -r voice...yes, he had the best voice ever and you're right, no one sounded even remotely like him in the business and you always knew when you heard the first few notes of a song it was him....glad you recognized this, not many speak about it on these posts which is surprising to me... no bias, he had the best voice , period... and his hips swaying back and forth with his guitar hung a bit low and usually wearing a blazer....it was the look..... Michael is Cleveland, it's his town.....the legend.... #ClevelandWillALwaysLoveYouMichael #ClevelandsNativeSon #KeeprockingMichaelonthebigrockclubtourintheSky

As a big lifelong fan right here in NE Ohio, thanks for sharing that!! Yes, it made no sense why they didn't achieve greater success for sure! And I agree, his voice was recognizable immediately! I still can't believe it either..... He will be missed!

@@meganfiglar6997 NE product here. Saw him in concert maybe 10 times or so. Story i got was his manager did not push them nationally because they were a cash cow in the Midwest. It seemed they weren't interested in derailing what they had. I remember when they went out to LA to go big it didnt work-out for them. I dont think their music registered with west coast people. My heart aches everytime I hear him sing. Such a big part of my youth and always carried himself with dignity.

Yes, we were there as well. We took the bus from The Pub Club, at Belden Village, the ticket paid for the admission, ride on the bus up to Blossom & return, and for the keg of beer that was on the bus. Some of the girls on the bus were actually taking glasses of beer up to the guy driving the bus, while he was driving! My how times have changed! Good Day to You!

Dear Michael, I saw you in Canton back in 1977, front row, then in Cleveland later. I also ran into you in Cleveland at the grand primere of the movie Vacation, said Michael kind of loud, you looked scared but I didn't yell out Stanley to cause a rush. You looked relieved, smiled and said, hello. My cute girlfriend Katy, at the time was excited to see you almost face to face at the Canton show because she was on my shoulders for one song. You rocked it brother. We'll never forget you.

Danny Powers is a great lead guitarist but the fast Van Halen links during this song just didn't fit. You loose some of the emotion and feel of this wonderful and very powerful ballad!!!! Great song. I saw MSB at least 12 times from the North Coast album till the final shows at the Front Row when You Can't Fight Fashion and 4th and 10 live album were out. They never disappointed me....
