Merry Christmas Tim, thanks for all the great reviews in 2023.
A bit like Baltic, but definitely pushing a little more premium, this is a vintage inspired dive design that feels very familiar and yet distinguishes itself with subtle details and lovely execution. It's not for me, but I can completely appreciate it. You mentioned Méraud being from The Netherlands originally. That I can neither confirm nor deny, but I thought that Méraud presently is a Belgian brand.

I really like that green actually. You should consider it more! ;-)

We are based in Belgium indeed! Thanks for the kind words!
Merry Christmas to you and your family Tim. I watched Dave’s video and was pleased to see you getting some recognition across the watch world. The watches presented looked to be very good quality and design, but I love my Lorier Neptune, which I think these are very similar to, and the price point is quite a bit higher than Lorier - if only Lauren and Lorenzo could do a Neptune with that blue dial 🤔
This is the second review I've seen for this watch. It's stunning. I've always liked the Tudor BB58. While I get some would see it as "settling," this watch makes quite the case for itself. The looks are there, the quality is there, and the movement is a nice step up from the usual NH-series or Miyota movements we see at this price range.

Thank you Tim for your views on our pieces! I truly appreciate it! Once side note, we're a Belgian company 😀

Sorry for that! Stupid mistake, especially when it's done by the biggest Tintin fan in the world.
Catching some Blancpain vibes… Tim, you nailed “clunkiness”!
Happy Solstice and Holidays! Thanks for all the great reviews in 23. Looking forward to what 24 brings. Cheers!
Longines Heritage diver and Oris 65 are the two best looking 60s inspired watches to me
Thank you Tim for another year of great watch related content! All the best to you and your family. Frohe Weihnachten!
Bless you, Tim - you're the best!
Thanks for sending over the straps! I'd been wanting to check them out since you first started selling them, and they really are some of the highest quality leather products I've seen!
Bluezieeeeee! LOL I would take the black one. Very nice. Mary Christmas.

Thank you!
The bevels are actually quite similar (if not identical) to the intentional (not over polished) bevels of Enicar's Sherpa line back in the day. I don't see "vintage over polished" at all...check out the Sherpas.
Merry Christmas to you! I wish you a healthy, safe, and fun New Year.
A good alternative to the Baltic Aquascaphe.
I see elements of Blancpain and Tudor in this design. I like it. But prefer the black dial with Old Radium lume.
Merry Christmas Tim. Best wishes for the festive season and for 2024.
The black is a beauty
Happy Holidays Tim!
I like that!
These are nice looking. 👍 Could do without the display case back though.
This is the watch Blancpain should have made for the Fifty Fathoms. 40mm, no date. I wanted a FF Barakuda but it's limited.
Merry Christmas, Tim!
Very exciting release
Happy New Year 🎈🎊🎆 Tim, love ❤ you big guy!

Thank you for another great review! These are very nice indeed, I feel myself drawn to the green one. I can't see anything I don't like, and I am usually quite picky.

Beautiful watches. Every single one of them

Much appreciated!
Looks way better than a Tuder imo.
Quite expensive for a relatively new brand
Any idea more specs on the movement? Just their number but that doesn't help much. I need a lot more info before I shell out 1K+... thanks Tim

second!
Mentioned elsewhere but this is so close to the Baltic Aquascaphe it's almost a homage. I know Baltic took queues from Bancpain etc but crikey. Very nice but the Baltic blue gilt still has the edge aesthetically for me. Thanks Tim.

We launched a little before Baltic's Aquascaphe in 2018 but clearly both inspired by the same pieces/era. Thank you!

@meraud-watches Thanks for that, do you think it was just synchronicity or a bit of industrial espionage? They are remarkably similar. I'm not sure why I wasn't aware of Meraud until recently but I've been after an Aquascaphe for 4 or 5 years.

@@piquetuk just a coincidence... I have not heavily invested in marketing, that could be the main reason! 🙂
Nice design, just a shame that the most “honest” and utilitarian version (the black) has fauxtina lume. Never fauxtina. Just never. It’s fake. It pretends to be something it is not. Really like the channel, though.

It's more a design element rather than trying to mimic vintage lume. It gives a warmer look to the design but I do understand what you mean!

@@meraud-watches That's what I told myself when I bought a Seamaster 300, but when I got it and held it in my hand there was no doubt in my mind: It's fake patina. I sold it again.
china bracelet ? +- 100 dollars for this bracelet they resemble those of san martín (china watch)
Named after a Dutch East Indies slave island, strange choice of name.

Sorry, but with that logic we couldn't name anything after the larger part of the world. The name refers to the 60s, when Bonaire was known as the spot for scuba diving.

The Bonaire 2 looks great and I think it’s real value for money. I only have doubts about the company. I tried to get in contact with them via the contact form, mail, Facebook and Instagram and even after 7 weeks I still have no answer. Is that how they run a company? This doesn’t give much covidence.

That's in fact a bit odd. I will mention that when I speak to the founder again.

That would be nice because it is a shame that such a great brand sees its sales hindered by this. I have been trying to ask some questions about the timepiece and delivery for 6 weeks, but to no avail. I have tried via the contact form on the website, email, Facebook and Instagram. If he had answered I would have ordered by now, but now I seriously doubt that.
