For what Hamster said: Basically, can be also more like 12 weeks. However, cats, small and big, have a lifelong bond to their pride(pack) and will never forget to care and to protect the initial one - It is just the case that they are getting separated, so we tend to not realize this bond. Side note: As a human you can, if you really take on the effort, become a member of their pride(pack), this does not happen automatically over time!, you really need to do something for that, then those will do whatever it takes to protect you. There is more, but that mentioned part is all to be found online if you search for it, for further knowledge you should go to a library or experts. One more: The bond between a big cats huntress and her mother could be the strongest social bond that ever have been observed, that includes humans - Meaning we could learn from it. I just accidentially stumbled over this short as I turned on youtube and since I had the honor to be part of a pride that woke strong emotional memories, so I wanted to leave an answer. Fazit: You still can be right and yet it is more likely that kitty one searched for help to get kitty two out of trouble. If cats have an ongoing fight, there would be more hissing as well and it would not end shortly after, that is why I tend to believe both cats are of the same pack. Cats in general do not understand violence, they don't punch anyone up, just like humans do, it usually starts with exactly one clap on the head and that also need to happen in the very moment the younger one did something wrong - They never ever, in their whole life "talk" about the same incident again, but they remember situations. It is also true that cats brain learning better from success than from failure. We could learn so much, if we would listen - There is no need to be angry because of something that your child/ partner did in the past, only be angry on that day, in that hour, when it happens and then let us go into the future, as a team and together, as one pride(pack) or in humans case, one family and if you don't want to be in the same family, then leave and start your own - It would be so simple, no domestic violence, no problems, just the family and all work together to get the best out of it and accepting mistakes and learning from it.
