I think it will be one of those films where we know the supposed big twist from the beginning and watch the suspense unfold.

Not really a twist then, just a premise. M. Night doesn’t always do twists, but it could still have one later.

The Visit, with the kids hanging out with their grandparents was one of my favorites!!

Not all movies have to have a twist...maybe this time he just wanted to create a basic thriller.

Big fan of Mr. Shyamalan! He has original stories even for those few scripts he adopted from book...he puts his touch in it. Love him. I can't believe the girl has not heard of the best movie ever...The Sixth Sense!

Guys do you REALLY think they revealed anything the director didn't want the audience knowing?

Give the man a break, don't expect a twist, I really hope there is none. And I think he might be signaling that playing with this 'reveal' on the trailer itself. A twist is just a sudden surprise in a short period of time, let's enjoy and appreciate how he handles suspense in this one.

I feel like the trailer HAD to tell you who he was. Because I don't know how well this would be received if we got the same trailer but it just came off like they were trapped at a concert and were trying to escape like some twist on a home invasion movie...so at least this is the thing that will hook people in. But I agree, I usually hate when trailers reveal too much, so hopefully it's deeper than what we saw.

Either the daughter is the killer or the guy tied up is the killer, and Josh Harnett already caught him. And they're using his tickets

I don't think him being the killer is the big twist.

"The Village" is another great movie by M. Night. Wonderful acting, beautiful music and of course a mystery and a twist. Consider reacting!

I’m so confused: 1) How are they going to catch this guy when they don’t even know what he looks like (I’m guessing they don’t because the cops grabbed the wrong dude at 4:37) 2) If Hartnett’s character _was_ the killer why would he agree to go to a huge concert where it’s common knowledge that cops are everywhere 3) How did concession dude know about this plot to begin with? Is he an undercover cop? 4) Does Hartnett’s character have split personalities?

This is a magic trick keep you focused on the concept of her dad… but what would be crazy is if the daughter was a killer

Unbreakable is second for me. 6th sense still was the most shocking because didn't know it was coming at all!

M.Night Shymalan direct good movies here's the list Devil, Sign,The sixth sinse,The village,The visit, Unbreakable,Glass,Old and Knock at the cabin.

I think that twist is that he isnt the butcher he just happens to be another serial killer who happens to be taking his daughter to that concert that just so happens that the butcher happens to also be attending

You don’t even notice that Lady Raven has been played by Saleka! Why? Cause she’s M. Night Shyamalan’s daughter!

To your point: He makes his films on $9 million budgets and reaps huge box office. Same integrity thing with Josh. He is very picky about what roles he does. Been doing the little indie films for 20+ years, crushing versatile roles all genres. He and M. Night, what a pair to work together! You can search interviews where each is raving about the other. Can NOT wait to see this!

Count me in!

The 'twist', if there is one, is probably that most of the audience will be rooting for this serial killer dad to not be caught by the people seeking to trap him. Sympathizing with him and hoping he gets out. (I do think another twist will come, but if you really wanna mess with audience minds, making them root for a violent murderer is a good way to start. It's why the movie Psycho works.)

i think the twist is the dad is the little boy from sixth sense & his daughter is actually dead

i doubt this is the only twist

What if this movie is a secret sequel to The 6th Sense and the kid is grown up working for the feds by communicating with the dead victims of The Butcher.

And his other daughter is directing a horror movie coming out this year too

I like these type of movies that take place within one day like Die Hard for example only this one will have us rooting for the bad guy. Very interesting

Yes my theory is that he's a Dexter-like killer that enjoys killing Serial Killers and he tries to hold it together upon realizing he's trapped in this Stadium sith multiple other Serial Killers. It would definitely add to the stakes of him not wanting to get caught since he's with his daughter.

No, somtimes the trailer misleads. Better watch it who is the real killer.

It'd be crazy if the daughter was somehow involved, but he's gotta have a partner or someone else calling the shots. If Criminal Minds taught us anything, it's that there's likely an Alpha and a Beta and Cooper comes off as a Beta.

Hartnett is clearly not the killer.

My few guess is he's butcher and lady raven had ac family member killed by him and maybe she or fbi found clues that he is a lurker meaning after he kills someone maybe he still squaks around their relative because it gives him some sort of kicks the way seriel killers get out of watching people in trauma and so they figure if she throws a concert he'll show up and they can i don't know how but id him based on other killings crime scenes. My other guess of guesses is lady raven is the killer and he's the fbi agent who set it up and the phone he's looking at in restroom is actually the killers phone or victims phone found at crime scene and they traced patterns of killers moves. If it's the daughter and he's found her phone and trying to protect her by riding evidence i don't know how that would work. But that's just a few stretch guesses

spoilers Josh Hartnett in the film is truly a psychopath but it turns out that they are not looking for him but for another killer, and together with his daughter he returns home
