Thx. The name of the song in Italian has the pressure on the second part, that is traSTEvere, which is the area of Rome where guitarist Thomas lives. Man, I really like your reactions, you're just as sensitive as Damiano, who writes these lyrics. For a rock band, this is kind of special. 😀 Peace.

Quindi tu parli del "patto" come di cosa effettivamente avvenuta? Se così fosse, mi spiego la hit "I wanna be your slave" ed il video terrificante che la illustra e mi spiego anche il vestirsi da "cocottes", un'altra delle cose date "in cambio" a chi ha garantito loro il passare "dalla strada" alla ribalta mondiale in un batter d'occhio, non che non abbiano talento, ovviamente, ma decine di altre Band in Italia, lo hanno(chi piu' chi meno), ma restano, pur brave, a galleggiare in un melmoso, eterno anonimato, fino al logico e inevitabile, scioglimento, ritardato trasformandosi in Tribute Band invitate a suonare alla "Sagra del Ranocchio" di Frittole......

They did say in an interview it was supposed to represent a deal with the devil, and that Damiano, the singer, wrote it during a very low point in his life. It's specially poignant how he seems to say "She's licking his fingers", instead of "He's licking his fingers", adding a possible sexual connotation to the transaction as well. The song was originally written in a neighborhood in Rome called Trastevere (which literally means "across the Tiber (river)", hence the name. My personal theory about it is that the devil here represents an actual person as well, a former manager who famously presented them with a very unique opportunity of fame when they were very young, but that they have since parted ways with in bad terms, so her name has been crossed out of their songs. That's just my baseless guess, though. Thanks for the reaction, it was fun to experience it again with you. Can't wait to see you listen to more from them.
