Måneskin - Coraline live at Sanremo Music Festival (Reaction)

#måneskin doesn't just rock out with sexy riff rock, they are also apparently poets that belong on stage with a sting section. This was simply beautiful and heartbreaking all at once.

It was an emotional night for them to. They were the invited guests on the anniversary of their win there the previous year. Also his girlfriend, who inspired the song was in the audience. He shed tears of emotion at the end. I love the man's talent and depth and versatility so very interesting.
This " CORALINE " version is a masterpiece. I'm MÅNESKIN FAN from 2017 and They never disappoint Me.❤
Non è una canzone... è un capolavoro di poesia❤🇮🇹
This masterpiece is an anthem of mental health issues, from bullying to low self esteem, eating disorders, parental abuse and suicidal thoughts. This performance is particularly moving and you can see Damiano struggle to keep it together while singing. In the version no cut off at the end you can see him breakdown crying on the shoulder of the host. I try to listen to it at least once a day and often will make me cry, the emotions are quite raw.
Thx. The Sanremo Festival uses a string orchestra, which isn't cheap. That shows how much the Italians put into this celebration of their musical traditions. It's also unusual for a rock band to perform together with classical instruments, which really works so well here. Peace.
I love Maneskins italian songs. Coraline is just great.
still makes me cry every time ...
He wrote it for his girlfriend at the time who has been open about having an abusive father and an illness which tends to make women infertile (hence the line lost the fruit of her womb). But essentially its a fairytale with no happy ending, the castle mentioned at the end is in reference to a cementry in rome. In the full hd perfomance which unfortunately isnt on youtube you can see damiano crying during and after the performance, it gets me every time💔
Maybe the sea- what she needs, what she desires-is within her, Maybe the river- what she's scared of, what brings her down- is within her. No matter what are the external circumstances, ultimately it depends on you, how you deal with it. Freedom is inside you. Fear is inside you.
Un capolavoro in musica ❤.. Saluti da Sanremo 😍
I interpret the water and ocean as freedom, she wants freedom from the abuser, but is afraid if the unknown (freedom is unknown to her), and the water inside her is her decision she must take to become free
he once said that it is a part of his life and that he shares it with an ordinary person and that it is beautiful
The reaction is spot on 👌🏻 Coraline is one of my favorite Maneskin songs, the lyrics always move me. It is actually a dramatic true story, Damiano (the singer) based the lyrics on the story of his ex, Giorgia Soleri. The lyrics can be read in many ways, and even I initially thought of a story of domestic abuse, but I'm pretty sure it tells of Giorgia's condition (endometriosis-which may have caused her to lose a probable child, a clue there is in "Valentine") and her conflicted relationship with her father.

she chose to get an abortion before getting together with Damiano and never got pregnant again, tho.
a maneskin Classic already!
Please react to Måneskin song Valentine, it's a beautiful piece, most live versions that you can find in KZread don't have good audio cuality but the official music video it's great.
Great reaction Walter! you are a very sensitive man.
Sea water represents emotions of course! Emotions can overwhelm us exactly as sea waves. And yes, it also represents wanting freedom, but being scared of having to fend for yourself.
next step *FOR YOUR LOVE* live 1LIVE WDR 😎🤟
MASTERPIECE.
Yeah, besides a great voice those lyrics . The guy's a freakin poet ! And yes it's about abuse , a girl who's abused by her father raped and made pregnant with his baby . She can't take it anymore and takes her own life . The castle he mentions in the end is a cemetery ,her last resting place. Great review . Keep'em coming man ! Have a good one .
Troppe interruzioni per una canzone così bella
Always Amazing Maneskin 🔥 Damiano 🔝 ❣️ more please love 😍
as an italian I love Maneskin but I think that their songs in italian are much better than those in english

I think most people, even English speakers believe their Italian songs are superior. Although they are improving on their English lyrics as well.
You have to watch their live performance of Gasoline (Global Citizen festival)!❤
❤❤❤❤❤
sea water represents freedom for her, but she is afraid. The potent wall represents a cemetery.
Il castello con mura potenti di cui parla alla fine della canzone é il cimitero di Roma 😢 please FOR YOUR LOVE live WDR
It’s a good reaction but honestly, you should have listened to the album version first, to truly appreciate this live version with the orchestra, instead of trying to figure out the lyrics during this version. Nonetheless, ty for reacting to it.
Nerdy and stepped on review

Too many breaks
Coraline is a Neal Gaiman short story. It exists in many forms, a pocket book, at least one comic version and a prize-winning children's movie adaption. It tells of a very deep personal horror story of a child (Coraline) losing all her connections to life and safety to be replaced by robot-like eyeless puppet monsters in a world losing its connections to reality.

No this is not that this is an abuse story of a girl .

I mean, they are right about the book, it's a very famous Neil Gaiman book, but this song has no relation with the novel even if they share the same title

@@colibri2836 That's right, Damiano himself has said that it is unrelated to the Gaiman story. He said something to the effect that the name was used as a musical device because of the way it sounds when sung with the two different pronunciations.
Parla dopo la canzone interrompi troppo
For your next reaction to Måneskin I recommend their collab with Tom Morello (RATM, Audioslave) kzread.info/dash/bejne/qnl9rZWukbapmbQ.htmlsi=EV-s-biHHVlm_XbN
