其實不應該說是"打法相剋"，而是單板直拍、反手橫打能力不夠強者(馬琳)的先天限制，幾乎完全是被正反手能力均衡、實力佳，又頭腦冷靜、心臟強，隨時敢於對抗中變線的橫板選手(張繼科)所壓制; 不信者可以仔細看看比賽過程中，馬琳大部分的球都是怎麼失分的 ? 尤其是這一場球是在2009年10/22打的，那時應該還算是馬琳的全盛時期...

傳統直拍反手推擋的弱點暴露無遺，強行側身搶攻，就會被打正手空檔，導致這場球馬琳非常狼狽。
