馬可福音4章31-32中提到的「好像一粒芥菜種，種在地裡的時候，雖比地上的百種都小，但種上以後，就長起來，比各樣的菜都大，又長出大枝來，甚至天上的飛鳥可以宿在他的蔭下。」這比喻是指神的國最初看來是最小的，但後來卻變成最大。耶穌傳道的時候甚麼都沒有，還要門徒和婦女供應；但耶穌有聖靈的能力和神的道，將來必會成為最大，成為許多人的遮蓋。
Mark 4 Chapter 31-32 mentioned, “It is like a mustard seed. When it is sown in the ground, it is smaller than a hundred other species on the ground; but after it is planted, it grows larger than any other vegetable. It is so big that the birds of the air can stay under its shade." This metaphor refers to the fact that the kingdom of God initially seemed the smallest, but later it became the largest. When Jesus preached, he had nothing and had to be provided by disciples and women; but Jesus had the power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God, and he would become the greatest in the future and become the covering of many people.
