পুরাতন স্থাপনায় প্রায়শ দেখা যায় করোশোন কিংবা ড্যাম্পের কারণে সিলিং ও দেয়াল থেকে আস্তর ঘষে পড়ে যায়, এছাড়াও নতুন স্থাপনায় সাটারিং ফাক দিয়ে সিমেন্ট মিশ্রিত মশলা বাহির হয়ে যাওয়ার কারণে সৃষ্টি হয় হানিকম্বিং সনস্যার।
সাধারন সিমেন্ট দিয়ে এই সকল সমস্যার সমাধান করা যায় না। এই জণ্য পলিমার দিয়ে মডিফাইড মর্টার তৈরি করতে হয়। যা দিয়ে খুব সহজে সমস্যার সমাধান দীর্ঘস্থায়ীভাবে করা যায়।
Corrosion or damping is often seen in older structures where the linings are worn away from the ceiling and walls, and in newer structures, honeycombing is caused by the leakage of cement mortar through the grouting gap.
