Thank you for the English subtitles! It is great to see techniques from other cultures and incorporate them into my own work. My Wife is Chinese and I would love to build her some furniture in a way traditional to her home country. These videos are a great learning tool to help me with this! I will now always call my scrub planes "tiger bite" planes instead, it sounds so much better!

Tiger bite hahaha I believe it’s supposed to be called “two tiger heads??” It’s more like an all purpose plane.
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on diminishing lumber. Thank you
日本刮薄了是为了用刮下来的花贴物件面儿。所以论高附加值，中国是卖木头，木花当垃圾，日本卖的就是拼接后的木花。

刮出一个基准面后应该转动180度进行作业才对吧 如果转动90度的话能保证刮出90度的角吗？

不太苟同，大胆猜测一下，是不是跟刨片的角度有关系? 请指教 再者，刨花只是废弃物，面平才是结果，对吗。 当然只是讨论。 直花刨和卷花刨出来的面有嘛区别吗？如果有，是师傅要的效果吗?

The pull plane he used was his hand made plane. It is Chinese style. He was just showing the difference between those planes. Most of them were made by him.

this is not a video of compare planes, but he did gave his opinion in the end. I'll try to explain. this video is about 3 mains skills to be a old fashion Chinese cabinetmaker- part 2 planing. he was talking about how to hand plane a old piece of wood to a useful piece of a furniture, only with hand tool and eyeball, we should begain with the largest side, wich situation use witch plane, we should look the side line to know witch aera need to plane. in a moment he showed us the wood, it looks like not square, but it is square,be cause the other side is larger than the flat side, just a optic effect. then he runs it to a nail at the forth side, he thought no need to finish this side, be cause he already did three sides, don't worth the effort to take off the nail. then he showed 3 planes he made, the white one he use the most, the chip is curved back, for the brown one, the chip gose forward. for the pull plane, he said: it could be thiner than the white one, but he just don't see the point. if the wood is not flat, thiner chips means more time, more passes. if the wood is already flat, why need we to plane more? for him, it's not very useful the pull pane, he don't use offen.then he showed the side dove tail plane, it's for furniture use. then he showed one hand planing, thst's some basic skill for a good Chinese cabinetmaker. In the next video, he'll show some basic skill to make a tenon (chiseal skill).

阿木就是卖货的，有木工教学视频吗？现在太商业化了，炫技为主，至于传承传统文化，实质还是卖货为目的。
