what music. Master of masters. thanks for uploading. MDR is the only person to whom I can listen in any situation. In a high mood or low, sombre or excited. The Bhakti just flows out unhurriedly uninterruptedly.
What a wonderful rendition. No words to describe. Very molodious and mesmerizing. Total blissful. His voice is God's gift. Legend eternally.
Goosebumps 😇
👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏good music perfomence
One of the best renderings of madyamavathi on the history of carnaticmusic.
One of the best renderings of madhyamavathi ever heard inthe history of carnatic music world.
Shri M D Ramanathan mama is a purist who performs in his inimitable style. He is unto himself and does not play to the gallery. His voice is a special creation of God with absolute wide bandwidth from low to high. He never disappoints true lover of carnatic music. He learnt music the hard way through gurukula parampara and has the blessing of Tiger Varadachariar Mama. Chalakudy Narayanaswamy mama and Palghat Raghu mama are great artists in thier respective fields. We are lucky to have this recording for future generations to learn as well as enjoy. Thanks a million Sir for sharing.
as a novice i thought what is this voice ? . i felt ashamed for that . this man was never in any hurry and a pure musician . i feel blessed to enjoy his music
A great piece of rendering in Madyamavathi, bringing every drop of nectar in the raga. Sublime rendering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Words are not enough to explain the perfection and bhakti. I would assume that Lordess Kamakshi have given "dashan" to the great master while making the performance.
An intelligent singer...
Chalakkudi Narayanaswami was one of the all time brilliant Carnatic violinists. He being a Malayali -- this is my own conjecture -- away from the din and buzzle of Madras never got his due. With Navaratri mandapam and occasional ferry into Tamil Nadu we got to hear him accompany great ones like MDR. The more I listen the more I appreciate the melodic bowing of this Chalakkudi vidwan. This particular rendering is flawlessly recorded. We're blessed. Sri Raj Namboodiri with a big heart deserves our thanks. When Sri Raghu is here we are assured the best mridangam possible. MDR, a Physics BSc from Palghat's Victoria College and Sri Raghu, a Maths BSc from the same college give me a tickle. MDR is one of a kind and no one will ever replace him. Listen to this mridangam. Though the trio spoke Tamil at home they are all Malayalis to me. MDR's Malayalam was impeccable. All music students must be forced to listen to thus brilliant trio day in and day out. Pranams to their illustrious memory. Narayanakurup Kanthikumar/Post Falls/Idaho/USA
